They started the cup final like they were in a hurry and found themselves 2-0 up within six minutes.

A shell-shocked Ladzio slowly fought their way back into the match and the play became more even, with Ladzio creating the better chances. Racing Club were looking concerned about the increasing attacks and not without foundation. Ladzio pulled the score back to 2-2 to go in at half-time level.

The momentum seemed to be with Ladzio, but Racing Club steadied the ship and began to create some chances of their own. Their reward came halfway through the second-half when they regained the lead. Ladzio pushed for an equaliser as full-time approached and Racing Club wrapped up the match with a last flurry to take the cup with a 4-2 win.
