WEST ESSEX SUNDAY CHARITY TROPHY FINAL

Congratulations to Alliance United who won the West Essex Sunday Charity Trophy on Sunday with a comeback 3-2 win against Flyhouse Athletic. They trailed early in the match but a rocket of an equaliser saw them back on terms almost instantly. However they conceded a second before the break to go in 2-1 down.

The second half saw a turnaround as they scored with twenty minutes to go to level the game up as extra time loomed in the air. However, with just minutes to go, a terrific left foot effort from long range by Alliance's forward caught out the keeper who couldn't get sufficiently behind the ball to stop it creeping through. Alliance held on to win 3-2 and lift the silverware in the debut season in the competition.

PREMIER DIVISION

The race for the runners-up spot in the Premier Division will go to the final day of the season after Repton Park cruised to an emphatic 9-0 victory that leaves the second place in the table on a knives edge. Jesse Spearing netted five goals for his side with Jayden Ambrose also scoring a hat-trick of his own adding to a Marle Ribeiro single goal to round off the win.

Both Repton Park and Warren United can still take the runners-up spot with Repton taking on the champions Upshire and Warren United hosting Ainslie Wood. Repton hold a two point advantage and, with a healthy goal difference, a draw would likely be sufficient. Anything less and Warren can swoop in for second place.
