Introducing your new committee members

As another new season appears on the horizon, we welcome our new league committee members who have been voted onto the panel for the coming season ahead.

Firstly, we introduce our new Chairman, Onur Gokdemir, who takes over the role from his predecessor, Tommy Walker, who sadly passed away a few months ago. Having had a long standing connection with the competition, Onur is very keen to continue the tremendous work put in by Tommy over the many years of his service and see the league continue to thrive.

Three new Club Liaision Officers have also been co-opted onto the committee, many of whom will be familiar faces to some already. Sean Russell re-joins the committee having had a long association with the league through his time involved with clubs, as a referee and of course as Referees Secretary some years ago too, bringing a wealth of experience to the panel.

We also welcome the high respected Alan Webb to the committee this coming season, a gentleman who has had much playing experience in the league, predominantly with Coral FC before hanging up his boots and taking up the whistle instead as a referee. 

Last but not least, the third Officer added to the roster sees Barry Fitzgerald formally elected onto the management committee. A familiar figure to those involved with Saturday football with the Essex Alliance League but also in his active role as Director of Essex County FA co-ordinating, amongst many things, the county cup competitions.

We welcome all of our newly elected officers to the committee for this season and look forward to seeing them around the grounds on a Sunday morning to meet with our member clubs.
