This Sunday afternoon, our Corinthian season concludes with the two showpiece cup finals of the season as the Trophyland Cup and the Corinthian Cup take place at Dagenham & Redbridge FC in a special double header.

TROPHYLAND CUP FINAL - RONEO COLTS VS ST AUGUSTINES - 11AM

The Trophyland Cup Final kicks things off at 11am as Roneo Colts' final game as a group sees them face a St Augustines side who are going in search of a possible treble this season. For Colts, runners-up in Division Two, the game marks the end of a terrific run as a team with a number of promotions along the way, along with some League Cup silverware during the pandemic stricken seasons. Luke Sargent and Kane White's side started their run in the second round with a 4-1 success against UItimate Vision Reserves before a last sixteen success away at division rivals, Asianos, winning 3-0. They overcome Division Three's Alpha in the quarter finals in a 5-2 win before another win against Division Three opposition, this time beating the champions, Debden Sports Reserves, in a 3-0 win, confirming their place at Dagenham & Redbridge. Can they put in one more big performance and round things off in style in front of their fans?

The Saints are the opposition on Sunday and what a season it has been for James Edelman's revitalised outfit following an influx of new players last summer. They have added to two cup final appearances in the last 3 years by being confirmed as Division Two champions this term, while also taking the Division Two Cup also with a fine win against Total Football last month.  They've had to come through five ties to make it this far with a first round success against Ace Athletics (3-0) kicking things off before they beat another Division Four side in Chingford Athletic Reserves, 4-0, in the last thirty-two. They received a walkover against Monkhams in the third round, setting up a home quarter final where they successfully beat Ainslie in 3-0 scoreline. It took a seven goal thriller to seperate them from Thames Ironworks in the semi-final as they edged through 4-3 to book their second final of the season - a possible treble awaits the team.

CORINTHIAN CUP - BAITEZE SQUAD VS BROOK ATHLETIC - 3PM

The season concludes on Sunday afternoon with the much coveted Corinthian Cup final, a chance for one of two teams to add their name to a historic trophy. The national champions, Baiteze Squad, will be very eager to add the silverware to their FA Sunday Cup that they won a few weeks back at Millwall and round off what was a largely successful season. Their opening round action saw a last thirty-two tie at home against FC Ballr which they won 2-1 before an equally tough challenge against Hatch Lane in the second round which saw them take a 2-0 victory against the London champions. In the quarter finals, they defeated Premier Division side Roose in a 5-1 scoreline before another battle against lower ranked opposition, defeating AC Milano 5-2 to take their place in Sunday's final at Dagenham. Will Bill Hession's men have one more performance in them this season?

Standing in front of the national champions are a confident and highly rated Brook Athletic side who will compete at the top level themselves next season following their crowning as Premier Division champions this term, just a single league defeat blotting their copy book as they won by a seven point margin. A side filled with a good combination of senior experience and plenty of promise, Brook began their run in the competition with a cup shock, defeating top flight Secret in a 4-0 scoreline to make the last eight and followed that up with yet another big scalp, defeating El Valiente 3-0 in another impressive showing. In the semi-final, they faced up to the side who they had been jostling for the league title with all season, Flyhouse Athletic. A 5-0 winning performance was just what gaffer Zaheen Khan had asked for, confirming their place in Sunday's showpiece encounter.

We look forward to welcoming all four clubs to Dagenham on Sunday, along with all of their supporters and, of course, our teams of match officials. The weather is set fair and what better way to round off the football season than with a Dagenham double!
