The draws for the Essex County FA cup competitions this season have just been released with a number of Corinthian sides involved in the competitions this year.

In the Essex Sunday Premier Cup, Valentines United face one of the longest journeys possible as they make the trip up to Harwich to take on Duckpond at the end of October. Last season’s Junior Cup finalists, Romford Elite, open their Premier Cup campaign by hosting Harlow-based Harberts. Flanders’ cup run will begin on the road as they face Brentwood League side, Lakeview, with Upshire completing the action with the visit of CFC Shalford from Braintree.

In the Essex Sunday Junior Cup, there is just a single first round clash involving Corinthian sides whom have been drawn against each other! Valentines United Reserves will host St Augustines in a Barkingside derby on 1st October. Receiving byes through to round two are Korona Redbridge who take part in another all-Corinthian clash against Barking & Dagenham Wanderers with newly established East London Old Boys facing a similar fate as they face Ultimate Vision. Dagenham United are on the road in round two where they travel to Hendersons with FC Mexico’s bow in the competition seeing them awaiting the winners of a first round clash.

In the Essex Junior Trophy opening round, Epping Forest Falcons open the action with a trip to Chelmsford League based Ravens while Upshire Reserves face opponents from the same league as Marconi Leisure travel to Waltham Abbey. In all-Corinthian ties, it will be a county cup double header at Warren School as Grey Area play host to Roneo Colts while Goresbrook take on Custom House Community on the next pitch. Dagenham United Reserves will face local opposition in the shape of May & Baker EC while Hornchurch Oakmont take on Combination opposition in the form of JK Silvertown. East Ham Inter and Morfdown Elect also face Combination opponents as they take on Royal Albert and West Essex Reserves with Barca making their debut in the competition with the visit of Brockwell Rovers. Completing the draw, Masterman are the recipients of a bye through to round two where they will face the winners of a first round clash in late October.
