The first full Council Meeting of the 2014/15 season is taking place next Wednesday 3rd September 2014 at Thurrock FC starting at 7.30pm. All clubs are required to be represented at Council Meetings which will happen this season on a quarterly basis.

You will receive handbooks and pre-match teamsheets at the meeting along with it being the final opportunity for you to lodge your initial batch of 11 player registrations if you haven't already done so.

Dates of 2014/15 full council meetings:

Wednesday 3rd September 2014 7.30pm
Wednesday 3rd December 2014 7.30pm
Wednesday 4th March 2015 7.30pm
Wednesday 17th June 2015 (AGM) 7.30pm

All of the above meetings will be held at Thurrock F.C. and will be followed by Management Meetings at 8.30pm so we ask for clubs to please leave the venue promptly before the Management Committee meeting begins unless you have been requested to stay behind.

New Referee Secretary

We are pleased to confirm that Mike Locke has kindly agreed to step into the shoes of the departing Sean Russell in the role of Referees Secretary, a role he supported Sean with last season. I'm sure you will all support Mike as much as possible and contact your referees to confirm games as early in the week as possible and keep match discipline in check!

If you need to get in touch with Mike, you can contact him on 07708 882495 or by email on: refs@escfl.co.uk.

Reminder about changes to substitutions rules

Just to a gentle reminder to all clubs and match officials about the new rule that was approved at the AGM to permit repeat substitutions on a "5 from 5" basis. This means that all 5 substitutes that are nominated on the teamsheet may participate and this is on a "rolling subs" basis whereby a player who is substituted off the field in turn becomes a substitute and may come back on.

All substitutions will still need to be made during a stoppage in play and with the agreement of the referee in line with FA laws.

The Result E-Card facility will be also amended to allow you to select the extra 2 players that are now permitted to take part.
