As the 2013/14 season moves into it’s Spring months, it is time to start thinking about how the League can move forward for 2014/15.

Great strides were taken this year with the introduction of a far more electronically focussed process and it has, on the whole, been embraced by all of the individuals involved with the League. We feel this has made things easier for everybody and also given players the chance to feel more involved with the introduction of the scorers and cleansheet charts and the integration of social media channels.

Last season, countless hours were spent administering result cards and chasing clubs who had their cards lost in the post. That is now a thing of the past and very few fines for result cards have left these shores. The number of referees submitting their reports has also risen greatly… although for some clubs this has resulted in a bad experience!!

Most individuals involved with the League will have ideas for how the League can improve and we want to hear from those individuals. Some of the key issues for consideration are things like the format of the cup competitions for 2014/15, the processes the League uses for registrations, results or any other proposed rules changes.

The League is offering anybody who would like to discuss changes to stay behind for the first part of the management meeting on Wednesday 5th March at Thurrock. With any suggestions, we ask that it considers the League in it’s entirety rather than individual clubs or divisions and should be something that is considered to take the League forward.

There is also a suggestions board which has been set up on the website for those unable to attend next Wednesday’s meeting on which postings can be made that can be discussed at future management meetings. The address to access the suggestions board is http://padlet.com/wall/essexcorinthian

Remember, this is your League and we are always willing to listen to suggestions and considerations that will improve your League.
