Congratulations to Repton Park who secured a treble on Sunday as they added the West Essex Sunday Charity Cup to their trophy haul following a 3-0 win against Belfry at Oakside.

Both sides went into the contest on the back of hugely successful seasons in their respective leagues and this therefore added intrigue to a terrific cup final in prospect. After a close fought opening passage, Repton Park took the lead after around twenty minutes, scoring a penalty to lead 1-0. Belfry fought back into the match and could have levelled but saw their deficit doubled not long before the break as another Repton goal made it 2-0 at half time.

Belfry came out stronger in the second half and racked up the chances early in the second half but were unable to beat Repton's keeper. The killer third goal arrived on the hour as another penalty was awarded and safely dispatched to give them a 3-0 lead. Belfry, to their credit, failed to give it up and continued to press forward in search of something that would ignite them. But Repton held on to win and lifted their third piece of silverware this season, adding the West Essex Sunday Charity Cup to their Premier Division and Corinthian Cup haul already achieved. Congratulations to Jesse and his team on a sparkling 2019/20 season!
