A lovely May bank holiday weekend saw Thurrock's Ship Lane ground emblazoned in sunshine all day long, perfect for a day full of exciting drama.

The first game of the day was the Premier Division Cup final between Royal Falcons and Barca. Barca took an early lead but Falcons equalised on the stroke of half time. Falcons then scored twice in the second half to seal the first part of what they hope will be a league and cup double.

Onto game number 2 which saw Galactico take on Corinthian Cup winners Coral in the Division One Cup final. Galactico, who will go head to head with Coral for the Division One league championship along with Chingford Celtics, took an early lead in the game and held that lead until the 94th minute when Coral unfortunately missed a penalty that would have taken the game to extra time. Galactico held out to lift the cup!

With the afternoon sunshine continuing, the teams arrived for the third and final cup final of the day and the last of the season. Eva Hart Rangers, already crowned Division Two champions, faced Warren United C for the Division Two Cup. Eva Hart scored 2 goals early in the game and withstood the Warren pressure through the second half to secure the league and cup double at the first attempt.

Congratulations to all of our cup winners this season!
