The league has activated it’s severe weather protocol for fixtures due to take place on Sunday 12th January, enabling clubs in Corinthian league and cup fixtures only to make a joint decision as to whether the match should proceed. (Matches in outside competitions fall outside of our control and this does not apply to them)

The overnight forecast is showing a deep freeze once again and for temperatures to remain around zero for the morning. We therefore feel this is a sensible approach to avoid unnecessary travelling in the morning.

To be clear, both teams would be required to agree a postponement. If one club wishes to wait for a referee inspection in the morning, that is the course of action that will happen (unless the ground owners/operators have already determined otherwise).

All postponements must be notified to the Fixtures Secretary (Rob), Referees Secretary (Mike), and Results Secretary (Howard) – contact details on website: https://www.escfl.co.uk/contact-us/
