Upshire in county cup final action on Friday night

We all wish Upshire the very best of luck as they make the trip to Aveley on Friday night to take on Southend Sunday League outfit, Rochford Sports & Social, in the Essex Sunday Junior Trophy Final at Parkside - kick-off 7.45pm.

The Waltham Abbey based side have had a marathon journey through the competition with a backlog of ties to complete in January, Upshire came through a tough semi final, playing 85 minutes with ten men. They eventually prevailed in a 2-1 victory to book their place at Aveley FC's stunning new Parkside ground.

As for their opponents, Rochford Sports & Social similarly compete in Division Two of the Southend Sunday League and, to date, are unbeaten this season in the league sporting ten wins from eleven matches. This should therefore be a terrific match between two in-form and quality sides. 

It would be fantastic to see other Corinthian clubs and referees over there on Friday to support Upshire and hopefully cheer them on to a victory!
