CORINTHIAN CUP

Another overnight freeze put paid to much of the weekend's action but the 3G fixtures did make it this time and the rearranged cup tie between co-tenants Total Football and Theydon Green finally took place, the sides in action in Loughton. It was a day for Josh Steele to remember, risest highest to score a hat-trick of headers for Green, Harry Carter also netting to overcome a Carl Parsons penalty in reply as the "visitors" won 4-1.

DIVISION ONE

The sole game played on grass came from Barkingside where Critics were the hosts to an FC Galaxy side, just a point seperating those sides going into the fixture. But it was a strong performance from the home side who had Dean Florence and Hayes Thomas to thank for scoring braces, Daniel Florence also on target, to win the game in a 5-1 scoreline. Mihai Mareniuc got the Galaxy consolation goal in reply.

DIVISION FOUR

It was a 3G game that survived the elements in Division Four's only completed game and that saw City Site put in a comprehensive winning performance against Byron Red Star having started the day just a point ahead of them. Alex Paraskeva and Frederick Mattock both struck hat-tricks while Harry Watkins, Robert Garvan, Raheem Bravo and Billy Cole also found the back of hte net in a terrific 10-1 success.

DIVISION SIX

Over in Chigwell, there was a big result for both ends of the table as previously bottom London Legacy produced perhaps their best win of the season to take down promotion chasing Royal Lions C. Vince Crosdale and Rommel Wilson were the men to make the difference, each scoring in a 2-0 success for the hosts who were able to move up a place to tenth in the process.

COUNTY CUP

The London Junior Cup fourth round clash between Hackney Wednesday and Ainslie finally got played after previous delays and it will be the Corinthian side in the hat for the quarter-finals after producing a terrific 4-1 winning performance. They will now take on Kensington Town in the last eight in a couple of weeks time, along with their ongoing involvement in the Essex tournament too.
