SENIOR DIVISION CUP

AC Milano’s final game of the group stage saw them move to seven points as they defeated East London Ballers in a 3-0 scoreline, a result that moved the hosts up into second spot, awaiting the outcome of the remaining group games.

DIVISION TWO

The sole remaining game from Division Two came from Beckton and it saw CSM London race into a first half lead before Endurance Athletics mounted a comeback. It ended 6-3 to CSM however with Steven Lambert scoring two, Urfat Hussain, Jamaine Bell, Tyler Sango-Ismael and Leandro Alba with the others.

DIVISION THREE CUP

Condor Reserves put league form behind them to reach the semi-finals of the Division Three Cup following a strong home win over Debden Sports Reserves in the last eight, Elliott Betts’ goal not quite enough as Condor ran out 5-1 victors.

In the other tie from the competition, it saw previous winners of the competition, South Ilford Catholics, up against a Manford Way side well versed in cup success. A goal apiece from Fred Brislen-Hall and Jacob Richards proved the difference in the end as Manford won through, 2-0.

DIVISION FOUR

Division Four leaders, May & Baker EC moved a step closer to silverware with a twelfth win of the season on Sunday, edging a close game with East London Ballers Under 23s 3-2 to remain unbeaten. Alex Paraskeva, Shane Hovell and Jordan Miller scored the key goals to keep Bakers on the brink.

East London Spartans faced a Cardinals Athletic side with the hosts beginning eight points behind their opponents. That was slashed to five by the end with Spartans winning 4-2 courtesy of braces from Michael Taylor and Billy Davis, while Brendan Anamole and Ryan Birch struck for Athletic.

DIVISION FIVE

There was an eight goal thriller at Parsloes Park where visitors, Asianos, left with all three points after a 5-3 win over London Legacy. Alex Akanbi scored two, Rayan Ansari, Isa Hussain and Anjum Malik adding the others while Charlie Saywood responded with two and Ewan Cochrane the other goal.

The other fixture from Wanstead Flats saw a combined five goals where a more routine victory saw Alpha net themselves a 4-1 home win over Mansfield Rangers, despite a Jay Kanber effort for the visitors in consolation.

DIVISION SIX

Valance United B continued a surge up the table following a big 8-3 win over London Cup semi-finalists, Chingford Athletic. George Whalley, Justin Clarke and Andre Graham scored for Chingford but Valence won it through Reece Stanley and Jordan Cook braces, plus goals from Jack Howard, Kamal Mahoney, Jamie Wooster and Rasheed Fasanya.

It was just the five goals in the local derby match at Hainault Rec where it took the odd goal to eventually separate Legacy City from Warren United, despite goals for the latter from Sonny Clarke and Oliver Regan, City leaving 3-2 victors.

DIVISION SEVEN

Two seven goal games round off the league action in Division Seven where United Amateurs Reserves secured three points in a 5-2 win over Highams Park Rangers with Jack Chawner helping himself to a hat-trick, Christopher White and Henry Sleight with the others.

The other game from the division came from Rainham where Barking Colts secured all three points in a narrow 4-3 victory over Romford Bullsharks despite two goals form James Edwards and one from Zachary Bussell for Romford.

COUNTY CUP

In the London Sunday Challenge Cup, Yeni Bogazici fought back from a goal down to level their game at 1-1 against Carpet by half-time but succumbed to a late Carpet winner in the dying moments of the game, 2-1 the final scoreline to the visitors.

CHARITY CUP

Holders, East End United, are safely through into the last four of the West Essex Sunday Charity Trophy once again as they navigated their way through a tricky quarter-final at Athletic Newham, United leaving 4-1 winners.
