ESSEX PREMIER CUP FINAL

It’s congratulations to Hatch Lane once again as they retained their Essex Sunday Premier Cup title at the weekend after a nail-biting 3-2 win against Atletico Maldon. Stephen Marshall’s first half opener was added to by Dan Couldridge’s effort before a Maldon fightback made it 2-2. But Tarome Hemming’s stoppage time winner stole it at the death to see Hatch lift the trophy once again!

ENDEAVOUR CUP FINAL

On Thursday evening, a packed crowd saw Colebrook Royals A lift the Endeavour Cup in front of almost 400 after a 6-0 win against Gatcliffe. Jedd Coster and Lenny Hunt goals gave Royals a two-goal half-time lead before Jamie McSweeney, Jonathan Lomotey, Oliver West and Arthur Massingham added goals to the scoresheet to complete the double.

SENIOR DIVISION CUP FINAL

It was off to Mayesbrook Park on Friday where AC Milano and East London Ballers locked horns once again. Shermandin Artmeladze’s opened from Ballers was equalled by a Khankhara penalty just a minute later. Clayton Afonso then headed Ballers ahead before David Alele’s finish made it 2-2. Ballers won it on the hour however, scoring the third and final goal to make it 3-2 and lift the trophy.

DIVISION THREE

In Division Three, Colebrook Royals Reserves and Warren Senior shared the spoils in their promotion battle, the teams finishing level at 3-3 at full-time. Maxwell Graham, D’jean Holland and Jordan Rock scored the goals for Royals to help their side to a point.

CHARITY CUP

Sunday morning saw the West Essex Sunday Charity Trophy Final where East End United and Byron Red Star battled their way to a 1-1 draw at full-time. It was to be United’s day in the shootout, three successive saves setting East End on the way to a 3-1 shootout victory.

On Sunday afternoon, the AC Milano vs East London Ballers trilogy was completed and this time it was AC Milano walking away winners of the West Essex Sunday Charity Cup after a 3-0 win at a sun-kissed Oakside.
