GROUP A

In a  group which went right to the wire on the last day, it’s congratulations to Baiteze Squad who earned the points they need against a strong East Way Athletic side, edging the game 2-1 to take the Group A honours. Two first half goals proved enough for Baiteze with East Way’s late consolation making it a real grandstand finish as they fought to the end.

GROUP B

It’s a similar situation in Group B where FC Ballr have positioned themselves in pole position with one game to go as they look ahead to their final day showdown next weekend on the back of an excellent victory against East Stars. Ayomikun Odukoya scored four for his side adding to efforts from Adebola Sotoyinbo, Daniel Brock and Chris Borkloe to win it 7-3.

GROUP C

The Group C title was decided on Sunday as Gants Hill saw results go their way to lift the crown in some style. They had a tough looking trip to Ultimate Vision ahead of them and they came out on top of that crucial clash at Aveley as 5-0 victors to move into an unassailable position at the top of the group.

Panda moved second in the group and level with two other clubs on nine points as they came away as big 5-0 winners against Barking in Dagenham. Hamzi Sowaidan scored twice while strikes from George Stapleton, Ihsan Saeed and Roy Stevens finished things off to leave them in pole position for runners-up with a round of games to go.

Barking & Dagenham Wanderers made sure to end their season with some momentum after they completed a second win in the group to ensure they finish away from the bottom. And what an important result it proved to be, ending Central Colts’ chance of cup glory in a 3-0 scoreline at Robert Clack.

GROUP D

The Group D action continues to excite with everything on the line in the remaining fixtures as three sides sit with a chance of winning the competition. Roose ended their campaign with a fourth win as they defeated Hornchurch Oakmont 4-1 to go top, at least temporarily. Ellis Marsh got on the Oak scoresheet but his effort proved not quite enough.

The day’s other fixture saw Abridge Village make the trip to Harold Hill to face Theydon. The two sides’ defences were on top as they finished 0-0, a rare scoreless draw at this level as both sides continued their hopes of a place on the honours board.

GROUP G

There were goals aplenty in Group G where we first congratulate Theydon Green who wrapped up the title with victory on the road away at Jaffna. Tommy Redhead and Noah Friend were both on fire with four goals each, Josh Steele scoring twice and one apiece from Sam Barrett, Harry Barrett, Bill Johnson and Harry Boyd-Walker wrapped up an impressive 14-0 scoreline.

The scoring didn’t stop there as, over in Dagenham, Monkhams wrapped up a huge 12-0 win against Cobra to put themselves in a strong position for runners-up in the group. That victory moved them second on goal difference with one round of games to play still as they battle it out with three other clubs for a place on the honours board.

The final game in the group came from Waltham Abbey where Upshire Forest were in action for their penultimate match with the visit of Ainslie, the sides starting the contest four points apart. And that gap was down to just a single point by full-time as Jay Digance and Kailem Gayle goals won it 2-1 for Ainslie, overcoming a Riley Bowers effort from the hosts.

COUNTY CUP

It was quarter final day in the London Sunday Junior Cup as Hatch Lane took a trip south of the water to take on B Young Reds in the last eight of the competition. In tough weather conditions, the hosts took a lead mid-way through the first half but Hatch got back level almost straight away and could have put the game away but were left to rue missed chances, as they were eliminated 4-2 in the shootout.
