The biggest win came from Newbury Park where Brook Athletic were 4-0 winners again Senior Division side Secret. A goal apiece from Omer Bingol, Timothy Monsheju, Malik Donaldson and Jayden Hocking-Rising helped their side into the quarter finals.

It was a massive day also for Flyhouse Athletic as another Premier Division through to the last eight of the competition after putting four goals past Senior Division’s Alliance Stars. The two shining lights in front of goal were Gabriel Ogunwomoju and Joshua Davis who both netted a brace to stun their opponents in a 4-1 scoreline.

Completing a hat-trick of Premier Division successes, Belfry made it two from two in cup competitions against United Dian this year, following their county cup success with a league cup mirror image, defeating their Senior Division opponents in a narrow 2-1 win. Charlie Heatley scored both of the Belfry goals to set up a home quarter final tie.

The final tie of the day saw two of Division One’s side meet at West Ham Park where AC Milano were up against Theydon Green, a side placed nine points ahead of them in the standings. And this one also went against the form book as AC Milano won 2-0 to inflict Green’s first defeat of the season.

TROPHYLAND CUP

Things were a little more routine in the Trophyland Cup but there was still room for one big surprise result as Division Three’s Alpha pulled of a shock result in defeating FC Mexico B from Division Two over in Barkingside. Troy Jules put the crown on the victory with a brace with Nicholas Muir and Tafari Miller goals edging this classic in a 4-3 result.

There was one near miss also as Division Four’s Romford Athletic Dons almost caused a real surprise, facing a division deficit against Upshire Forest. But it was the Division Three side who progressed on into the next round courtesy of a Luke Robinson double that helped them win 2-1, setting up an away trip to an as yet to be decided opposition in the quarter finals.

St Augustines are into the third round of the competition as they avoided any kind of slip up with a solid performance away at Chingford Athletic Reserves, winning 4-0 over in Waltham Abbey. James Edelman scored twice with Ed Shepherd-Bowman and Callum Daniels goals completing the victory against their lower ranked opposition.

It was a four goal winning performance for another Division Two side where Asianos made safe passage through into round three, coming through a tough looking tie against Higham Hill who were facing up to higher division opposition. The experienced pair, Zachery Leitch and Charlie Saywood, both got onto the Hill scoresheet but their efforts proved in vain as Asianos won through 4-2.

ENDEAVOUR CUP

The Endeavour Cup also served up it’s fair share of thrills and spills with Woodford Green United taking down the biggest scalp of the day as the Division Six side defeated Young Royals from Division Five in a 4-0 victory. George Butler and Danny Plunger certainly unclogged their opposition defence, both netting twice to put Green through to the quarter finals.

And in that quarter final, Woodford Green will take on Royal Lions C who came through a real thriller with an all-Division Six match-up against Ping City Phoenixes over in Hainault. The sides couldn’t be separated by full-time with the game ending 2-2. But the Lions held their nerve in the shootout to win that 4-3 and move on into the last eight.

There was one near miss for a Division Five side as Ultimate Vision A were taken all the way to a penalty shootout in their game also, Epping Forest Falcons the side who almost took the accolades despite indifferent form in Division Six. Ryan Maun scored for Vision to see the game end 1-1 at full time, his side winning 4-2 from the spot to go through to the last eight.

The other side safely into the hat for the quarter finals are Division Five high-flyers Valence United who had their shooting boots on with a home tie against Byron Red Star over in Dagenham. Ryan O’Connell scored twice and David Goff once for Star but their efforts proved just consolation as Burt Cardy (2), Jordan Cook, James Cook and Tommy Abrams earned Valence a 5-3 win.

Completing the weekend’s cup football action, the rearranged first round tie from Chigwell saw Epping Royals seeking to overcome a division deficit with a trip to Colebrook Royals Vets at The Grange. But a pair of hat-tricks from Paul Noonan and Steve Summers plus Ben Sitki’s double made it a 7-3 Royal win on the day as they booked a second round place.

SENIOR DIVISION

There were two eight-goal contests in the Senior Division on Sunday with leaders Hatch Lane coming out on the right side of the first of those, defeating a free-scoring FC Ballr side in a 5-3 scoreline over in Dagenham. Dane Blair, Ashaan Siddik, Ayrton Andrews, Lucio Vare and Jermaine Francis all struck for Hatch to keep them well clear at the summit.

The second of the eight goal games came from Newbury Park where Baiteze Squad were eager to keep their hat in the ring for the league title as they took on London Mavericks. And Baiteze will have been mostly pleased with the efforts as they won 6-2 to move second and eight points behind the current leaders.

PREMIER DIVISION

With a number of sides in cup action, Roose made up ground on the sides above them as they came out on the right side of a 3-2 scoreline with a win at home to Barking Riverside.  That was their third success of the campaign and they moved up to fourth in the process, just a point adrift of the promotion places.

Sitting not much further back are Avintul who scooped the biggest win in the division on Sunday with a big 6-0 victory away at Kulture Klub. Dumitras Olari has been a regular source of goals and this weekend was no different as he bagged four along with two from Victor Capatina to help their side shift up to sixth in the standings.

Also scoring six were the two sides in the final game of the division which saw Barking & Dagenham Wanderers up against East Stars with both sides keen to cut the gap on the sides above them. Jayde Abraham struck twice and Deji Akinyemi once for Wanderers but Star goals from Amod Adeyemi, Abdullah Khalil and Michael Gyasi ensured the teams settled for a point each in a 3-3 draw.

DIVISION ONE

In Division One, the weekend saw an upset of sorts as Oceana dropped their first points of the campaign as they were held to a quite incredible 6-6 draw at home against FC Galaxy in Hainault. The goals were flying in with Mihai Mareniuc netting a hat-trick, Cosmin Vladasel scoring two and Robert Stratila one for the visitors while Jamie Hart’s struck a hat-trick in reply for Oceana plus goals from Jesse Jones, Daniel Kelly and Jack Williamson.

Emerson Park took full advantage of sides around them being out of action as they moved into the top half of the table following a successful trip to fourth placed Abridge Village. The experienced Reece Clarke scored twice for Abridge but his efforts proved not quite enough in a tight contest as Emerson edged it 3-2.

DIVISION TWO

With the top two out of league action on Sunday, that presented the opportunity for others to close the gap and Roneo Colts did just that, earning themselves a hard fought 2-0 win away at Frenford to go second, at least for the time being. The highest scoring side in the division earned their win with goals from Frankie Iheukor and Kane White to keep their momentum going.

There were two huge results at the bottom end of the tab le where Korona Redbridge secured their first league win of the season to close the gap on safety to just two points, taking their own tally to four. Top half Thames Ironworks Community were the side to succumb as David Pietras’s brace and a Milan Pajak goal carried the hosts to a 3-2 home victory.

And another of the bottom half sides put a dent in a promotion chasing side as East London Harriers came through a five goal thriller away at Royal Lions A in Hainault, winning 3-2 to take their points tally to eight for the season. Hussein Amir, Charlie Cole and Frankie Worboyes all netted for Harriers to render Lions strikes from Brian Randriamanantena and Hamza Elbahja as just consolation.

DIVISION THREE

Things remain congested at the top of the Division Three table where Leytonstone Athletic presently lead the way on goal difference after a 5-3 win against Dagenham Town on Sunday. Bruno Dos Santos was the hero with a hat-trick for the visitors while Bradley O’Donovan and John Pluckrose also found the back of the net to keep their side flying high.

Remaining just a point behind the leaders are Monkhams who are on seventeen points for the season, aided in part to their latest success, a 5-2 comeback win against Goresbrook over at the Rec. Liam Coney and Lee Niven goals had seen their side ahead but Monkhams are the highest goal scorers in the entire league and fought back to win it comfortably by full time.

Results don’t get much more important than the one witnessed down in Aveley where, after a really tough time of it in the opening weeks of the campaign, the Mayfield Kings players can start to believe once again after scooping their first ever win as a club, defeating Imperial Row 2-1. Marilisio Rodrigues and Younes Ferhani efforts did the damage to counteract a James Hutton Row strike.

DIVISION FOUR

The race for promotion in Division Four is getting quite tense and Singh Sabha Barking have really put themselves into pole position for the time being as they took all three points against the leaders, Ainslie, winning 1-0 in Newbury Park. Dilan Thandi was the man who scored that only goal of the game as Barking moved to within four points with three games in hand.

Ace Athletics have moved their way right up the table and into fourth with a fourth league success of the season confirmed on Sunday as they defeated Titans United in Barkingside to complete the double. Stuart Connor, Billy Baldry and Jay Simmons were the scorers as Ace won 3-0 on the day to keep in touch with those above them.

Two identical and high-scoring scorelines complete the Division Four action where Blackwall Rovers made the trip down the A13 to Dagenham to take on Ultimate Vision Reserves, the sides battling their way to an entertaining 4-4 draw by full-time to share the spoils. Louie Webster netted all of the goals for the visitors to earn Rovers an important point.

And 4-4 was the scoreline over in Romford where Raphael Park Rovers were the hosts in a local derby game against Lonsdale, themselves formally of that parish. James Dixon, Joshua Holland, Charlie Moore and Cieran Fox all netted for Rovers but two Kalium Fletcher goals in reply plus strikes from Denis Hilaj and Alfred Marku levelled affairs to share the points.

DIVISION FIVE

Custom House Community made up ground on the promotion chasing sides on Sunday as they were victorious on their away trip to United Borough, returning 6-2 victors courtesy of a pair of hat-tricks from Jack Field and Jamie Wooster. Ben Miller netted both Borough goals in reply but it proved not quite enough as the Dockers moved third in the standings.

Eastern Avenue are now sitting fifth in the table as they went in search of a league double over Athletico City, a few weeks after picking up their first win against the same opposition. Boamah Kwakye was in fine form in netting a hat-trick while Thomas Harford, Kai Rawlins and Miguel Conceicao also found the back of the net to confirm a 6-0 Avenue victory.

And the biggest scorers of the day in Division Five proved to be Dagenham Rangers who hit Royal Lions B for eight in their contest with a scintillating 8-1 victory in Barking Park. Dylan Arthur came off the bench to score a hat-trick for Rangers, adding to goals from Deondre Ashun, Cameron Nicholson, Kye Davis, Aldair Doci and David Macauley.

DIVISION SIX

London Legacy’s form in recent weeks has been markedly improved and they picked up a third league win on Sunday with a narrow 3-2 win against Ivory United to move into the top half of the table.
