SENIOR DIVISION CUP

Baiteze Squad have moved to the top of the group in the Senior Cup following their result at the weekend, edging a close game with AC Milano by the odd goal, 3-2 the final scoreline at Newbury Park.

Not too far away on an adjoining pitch, Brook Athletic were at home in their clash with visitors, Yeni Bogazici, three being the number of goals needed to win this one as Brook triumphed 3-1 through two Shomari Barnwell efforts and one from Elton Tettey.

DIVISION ONE

Upshire Forest have moved to within a point of the top of the table in Division One after they returned home with all three points after a 2-1 success against AC Milano Reserves, Reggie Pegrum and Louie Fehrenbach scoring the all important efforts.

That was made possible as leaders, JK Silvertown, saw their lead cut at the top after ending locked at 2-2 at home against St Augustines. Robert Kirk and Taylah Cunningham both netted for Saints to take an important point.

DIVISION TWO CUP

The first round action in the Division Two Cup was concluded on Sunday with a hard fought contest won in the end by East London Ballers Reserves, netting both goals in the game against Barking & Dagenham Wanderers to win 2-0, Oluwatayo Felstead and Imran Barmujje the scorers.

DIVISION TWO

Back in the league, there were some changes in league positions as Warren Senior moved up into second place in the table on the back of their 4-2 home victory over Endurance Athletics with Nathan Elgie scoring two, Frankie Boland and Jack Glenister adding the others.

It was a thriller of a game in Beckton where CSM London and Benchviews traded goals and ended locked at 3-3 by the end of the contest. Steven Lambert scored two and Sameer Patel the earn CSM a share of the spoils.

DIVISION THREE CUP

There were plenty of goals in the first round in the Division Three Cup as Debden Sports Reserves scored ten in a 10-3 win over Euro Stars. Elliot Betts scored five, Luke Coppen two, Oliver Smallshaw, Samuel Blackshaw and Gabriel Murray the others. Abdullaziz Malin’s brace and Hayden Bokanga accounted for the Stars goals in reply.

DIVISION THREE

Over in Dagenham, there were eight goals in the game between Romford Town Flyers and Condor Reserves, with the former taking home a 5-3 win through goals from Kane Ledeatte, Tashinga Chinyadza, Tawfiq Rahman, Ethan Grodent and Bubacarr Touray.

DIVISION FOUR CUP

The Division Four Cup got underway at Wanstead Flats where East London Spartans were up against Colebrook Royals A. Royals goals from Max Sullivan, Zak Woolf and James Deaney were the difference in the game as their side left 3-0 winners and through to the quarter finals.

Back in the league, leaders May & Baker EC navigated a tricky looking away game at East London Ballers Under 23s to move eight points clear in the table, Bakers 6-0 winners on the day helped by Shane Redford’s hat-trick plus goals from Alex Paraskeva, Jordan Miller and Kane Kneller.

DIVISION FIVE

Alpha are the new leaders in Division Five as their win on Sunday saw them move clear, beating London Legacy 2-1 at the Flats. Lucas Tavares scored for the visitors but his goal proved in vain in the end.

That outcome was made possible as the previous leaders, Epping Town, slipped to a second defeat of the season with a 5-2 reverse at home to Ping City Phoenixes. Jack Flood’s four goals and one from William Hunt paved the way for Ping, Albie Price scoring both off the bench for Town.

Fourth placed, Newbury Drive, sit well poised still with games in hand after a 4-1 home win over eighth placed United Amateurs. Jack Chawner’s goal for United was overcome by two Harrison Wright efforts and one apiece from Billy Happe and Andrew Moffat.

DIVISION SIX CUP

The first Division Six Cup action of the year saw Newbury Kings in action against Coppice Row in Dagenham for a place in the last eight. It was Newbury on form in the game as they scored five without reply to win the tie 5-0.

The theme of goals continued back into the league also where the highest scoring game in the division saw Valence United B produce a strong performance, coming from behind to beat Emerson & Upminster 8-2 despite Emerson goals from Carl Holroyd and James Harris.

There was an eight-goal thriller at Hainault Rec where Warren United prevailed by in the end, beating Newroe United 5-3 as Oliver Regan’s four goals and one from Teddy Good overcame Daniel Munroe’s hat-trick.

A closely fought game in the remaining fixture saw league leaders, Gatcliffe, edge their away fixture against JK Silvertown Reserves where Codi Wackett and Alfie Jones goals proved just enough for them to win 2-1 and move six points clear.

DIVISION SEVEN CUP

The opening Division Seven Cup action pitted Barkingside up against Collier Row Under 23s in Chigwell for a place in the last eight and it was Row leaving the happier after Chris Kipoy’s double and Bobby Davis’ effort earned them a 3-1 win, overcoming Tyrese Wathuku’s ‘Side goal.

DIVISION SEVEN

Leaders, Ace Athletics, extended their lead further in Division Seven, recording a 4-1 away win over Romford Bullsharks in Rainham where Thomas Mason struck twice, Dean Ben-Yosef and Bailey Pryce the others. Reiss Bradley scored the Romford goal in consolation.

That same scoreline was reflected in another of the games where Barking Colts recorded a fourth win of the season, seeing off promotion chasing Zone 4 Athletic 4-1. Emmanuel Fowowe scored two, John Mansoori and Akeem Matthews with the others while Marcos Haley netted for Zone.

There was just the single goal in the game between the sides battling it out at the lower end of the table, Rush Green Rangers scoring the game’s only goal of their contest with Highams Park Rangers with Alfie Sasse netting the all important winner.

COUNTY CUP

There was success for league sides in the London cup competitions, beginning with Chingford Athletic’s progression to the semi-finals of the London Sunday Junior Shield, beating higher ranked Young Royals in a comprehensive 7-0 winning performance.

In the fourth round of the London Sunday Junior Cup, East End United had a tough looking battle on their hands against a Onetouchables side starting unbeaten and ranked two levels above them. But it was the Corinthian side moving into the quarter-finals, winning 2-1.

The Essex Sunday Junior Cup saw Stone Town on the road as they made their way to south Essex to face a Merlin United side in fourth round. It was Merlin who ended the happier, 4-1 winners to end Stone’s run in the competition.
