DIVISION ONE
With weather impacting the opening fixture list of the new year, just one Division One fixture survived with a goal-glut in the game at Castle Green between Barking Riverside and Roose. It eventually saw Roose go top with a 6-4 win as Shaye McKenzie-La-Rose helped himself to a hat-trick, Samuel Murray-Sharpe, David Owiredu and Lewis Owiredu adding the others.
DIVISION TWO
With other sides around them out of action, AC Milano Reserves moved top of the table in Division Two, taking home all three points from a comfortable looking 7-1 away victory against Barking & Dagenham Wanderers at Robert Clack. That result moved the visitors a point clear of the pack, albeit from a game more.
The other result came from east London where Stone Town made the short trip to West Ham Park to take on an East London Ballers Under 23s side. The game produced a five-goal thriller with Ballers edging it 3-2 by full-time with Zakir Khan, Sehraan Hussain and Razat Rahman netting the all important goals to take the points.
DIVISION FIVE
Goals were the order of the day in Division Five, particularly in Walthamstow where Mansfield Rangers and Young Royals shared some post-festive period gifts to each other in a 5-5 draw. James Scott’s hat-trick and a Billy Happe brace off the bench gave Rangers their tally but Royals struck five of their own to take a share of the spoils by the end.
There is a new leaders at the top of the standings as Romford Rovers moved to the summit after reversing their fortunes against Athletic Newham to take maximum points from the away leg. Rovers were 2-1 winners here with Jack Porter getting on the scoresheet, Kieran Dickerson netting for the hosts in consolation.
DIVISION SEVEN
The sole game from Division Seven came from Hainault Rec and pitted United Amateurs Reserves up against a Barking Colts side sat five points apart as the game got underway. But that was increased to eight by the end as Colts produced a 4-1 winning performance to close the gap on mid-table sides above them.
