SENIOR DIVISION
Brook Athletic lead the way on goal difference with five other sides also on three points, recording their first win with a 5-2 success over Colebrook Royals in Barkingside. Tom Sellers and Sam Wilson both struck the back of the net for Royals but Brook ran in five of their own to take the win.
There was a first win of the season for Yeni Bogazici who bounced back well from their opening reverse to take three points this time around, beating Baiteze Squad 1-0, the only goal of the game coming from Brandon Dujon.
Another side to respond well to an opening day defeat were AC Milano who reversed their fortunes this weekend, beating close rivals East London Ballers, a single goal enough to settle this one too, Milano 1-0 winners in Newbury Park.
DIVISION ONE
It’s Repton Park leading the way after two weekends of football in Division One, two wins from two, the second of which saw them record a 3-1 away victory over Critics in Barkingside. Jayden Ambrose scored twice and Thomas House bagged the other for Park.
Promoted side, Daglanta, sit second in the standings as a first win of the season was secured, a comprehensive 6-0 away success over FC Galaxy in Dagenham. Excellence Muhemba netted two off the bench with Santana Porter, Reon Reid, Humoud Majid and Eduard Bojaj goals rounding things off.
DIVISION TWO
Barking & Dagenham Wanderers great start to the season continues with a second league win, this time overcoming new boys Endurance Athletics in a 4-2 scoreline. Keanan Bancroft scored two, Jack Swaby and Harvi Shehi adding the others, while Agoro Fuad netted two for Endurance.
Also making it a perfect start were East London Ballers Reserves who were up against rivals CSM London in the Beckton derby on Sunday. Chiekh Dieng struck twice for CSM but Baller goals from Razat Rahman, Mahamadou Camara, Ojukwu Chibueze and Oluwaseyi Ijiwole made it 4-2 to Ballers.
The biggest victory of the day came courtesy of Colebrook Royals Reserves who opened their points account with a thumping 7-0 win away at Northbrooks. Oscar Simmons scored a hat-trick, Harley Lewis scored two, Jason Lewis and Jamie Meakin adding the icing on the cake.
Singh Sabha Barking’s first outing of the new campaign was a positive one as they recorded a big victory at home, winning 4-1 over Warren Senior as James Folkes scored two, Dylan Boparai and Daniel Adasonla once each, rendering Nathan Elgie’s goal as consolation.
DIVISION THREE
Prospect Protégé continue to lead the way in Division Three, making it two wins on the spin after a 4-2 success on Sunday against Romford Town Flyers. Emmanuel Alo scored two with Tommy Burke and Charlie Dillon scoring the others, while Bubacarr Touray and Clinton Oduku struck for Town.
It was opening day success for South Ilford Catholics who produced a 4-3 win in a thriller against debutants Old Esthameians Under 23s. Andrew Warin scored two, William Levis and Shawn Martial also netting while Olawale Kareem scored two and Harland Taylor one for E’s.
Promoted Debden Sports Reserves bounced back well from their opening day reverse to take all three points this time around, netting a 2-0 away win over Manford Way in Hainault, Elliott Betts and Zachariah Appauh scoring the all important goals.
Euro Stars also have their first win on the board after they took home all three points in their contest with Condor Reserves in Dagenham. One goal apiece from Abshir Adem, Spencer Williams and Aleandro Pires proved just enough to edge the game 3-2.
It ended all square at Westlands where Turkmenkoy and Stone Town both started their respective seasons by getting a point on the board. Deren Kale’s double for the hosts was equalled by Town goals from Zein Ali and Fahmi Masoud, the match ending 2-2.
DIVISION FOUR
Valence United A lead the way in Division Four after a 7-3 victory over East Park Rovers. Ryan Knight’s hat-trick, Rowan Newland’s brace, plus goals from Enzo Victoriano and Kamal Mahoney proved enough, rendering Daniel Banerjee’s double and a Hamzur Saleh goal as consolation.
The other big winners in the division were Colebrook Royals A who opened their points account with a 4-0 success at home to East London Spartans. James Deaney, George Marlborough, Jake Austin and Oliver West all scored the goals to net the points.
Draws were the theme of the remaining games, firstly in Rainham where East End United were hosts to a May & Baker EC side, a game which ended locked at 1-1 after ninety minutes. Sonny Davie scored for United with Alex Paraskeva’s effort ensuring the points were shared.
That scoreline was reflected over in east London where Eastern Avenue and Royal Lions went head to head once again. Neither team could be separated however, both netting their first points of the season in a 1-1 draw.
Over at Castle Green, Cardinals Athletic and East London Ballers Under 23s were both looking to extend positive starts on the opening weekend but it was the defences on top in this contest, the game ending in a rare 0-0 draw to share the spoils.
DIVISION FIVE
Epping Town have made a great start in Division Five this term, making it two wins on the spin and without conceding a goal after a 2-0 away success over Athletic Newham. Nathan Henderson and Louie Brownlie both scored off the bench to take the honours.
Promoted Newbury Drive sit in second after a strong start, a comprehensive 11-2 win away at Mansfield Rangers. Chris Huggins and James Scott struck with the Rangers goals but Billy Happe’s four-goal haul against familiar opponents, braces from Henry Wood and Mitchell Mills, plus goals from Paul Schouwenburg, Graham Bryan and Aman Din proved too much.
It was victory in Alpha’s first outing of the season too, their trip to Parsloes Park proving to be a winning one as they walked away 3-1 winners against London Legacy. Tafari Miller, Ashley Godwin and Nathan James goal set the tone with Lucas Tavares striking for Legacy in reply.
Asianos made a winning start to their campaign against promoted Ping City Phoenixes, the former earning a narrow 3-2 victory after the experienced duo of Alex Akanbi and Troy Hewitt had combined to score their goals.
The final game in the division saw a score draw as new boys May & Baker EC Reserves netted a first point against last season’s cup winners, Young Royals. The game ended in a 2-2 draw as Harry Goodwin and Luke Overton struck for Bakers, Naavinan Sritharan and Ganushan Sivanandan responding for Royals.
DIVISION SIX
It’s Legacy City leading the way in Division Six as they look to rebuild on their first season performance, netting win number two of the year after a 2-0 home victory against Coppice Row in Hainault.
Valence United B bounced back from their opening defeat with a terrific 12-2 win over Newroe United at Barking Park. Reece Stanley was on fire with five goals, Dallion Mohammed scored a hat-trick, Jordan Cook and Jamie Wooster adding two each. Armando More and Shane Taylor struck with the Newroe goals.
Also picking up a strong first win of the year were JK Silvertown Reserves who kicked off the new season with a 6-0 home victory against promoted Emerson & Upminster. Bobby Rusbridge’s hat-trick led the way with Joey Chapman, Steven Starkey and Joey May efforts completing the scoring.
Promoted Warren United sit in second place after four points in their opening two games, netting Oliver Regan scoring all four goals for his side in a 4-1 victory at Chingford Athletic. Garry Collier scored the Athletic consolation off the bench.
It ended all square the other game from the division as Gatcliffe took on Newbury Kings at Old Dagenham Park on Sunday. Codi Wackett and Nico Bunduku both found the back of the net for the hosts as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
DIVISION SEVEN
Ace Athletics continue their strong start to the new campaign with another win for their accounts, taking home all three points in a 6-1 home success against Romford Bullsharks. Marc Stow scored for Romford but Thomas Alexander’s hat-trick plus goals from Joshua Craske, Riley Boyce and Craig Cagehin proved too much.
There was a first win for Barkingside in their second game, bouncing back well from their opening defeat to take a 3-0 win against fellow new boys, Collier Row Under 23s. Gabriel Morlova, Joe Cadden and Adam Lindsay were all on target in the win.
United Amateurs Reserves’ first runout of the new season saw them earn a win to sit in third, 3-1 winners in their game with Rush Green Rangers. Tyler Junior and Henry Sleight both scored for the visitors, Alfie Rayner scoring for Green in reply.
Zone 4 Athletic continued their unbeaten start to the new season, sitting second after adding another point to their tally, sharing the spoils with Higham Park Rangers. Jerome Greenidge and Marcos Haley goals were equalled by Rangers goals from Simeone Hurley and Darnell Joseph in a 2-2 draw.
COUNTY CUP
Upshire Forest are into the hat for round two of the Essex Sunday Premier Cup, edging out a higher ranked Eagle & Hind side from the Chelmsford Sunday League by the odd goal, 3-2 winners at Town Mead.
Also through are JK Silvertown who had an all-Corinthian battle ahead of them in the first round, taking on Woodford Town. It was JK who walked away the happier of the sides, 4-2 winners to take them through into the next round.
