CORINTHIAN CUP

The line-up for this season’s Corinthian Cup Final has now been finalised with Upshire confirming their maiden appearance in the final following an emphatic win on Sunday. John Gregory scored a hat-trick to help his side secure a 9-0 victory over Warren United with a David Ayres brace plus goals from each of Jack Daveney, Ryan Dear, Harry Elmes and Thomas Goodey confirming their place at Thurrock in April.

PREMIER DIVISION CUP

There were two ties played in the Premier Division Cup where Ainslie Wood edged a tightly contested tie against Flanders by the odd goal to win 3-2. Matt Hector and Shane Campbell were on target for Flanders but it was Ainslie who ran out winners to book a place in the quarter finals.

An eleven goal thriller was witnessed in the quarter final tie that took place where Repton Park secured a thrilling 6-5 win against Liberty Stars. Charlie Henry scored a hat-trick for Park with Ross Fraser (2) and Jesse Spearing also doing the business in front of goal to fire last season’s finalists into the semi-finals.

DIVISION ONE CUP

Goals continued to flow in the Division One Cup where a first round clash pitted high-fliers Emerson Park against St Augustines in Barkingside. The sides couldn’t be separated after ninety-minutes as the game entered extra time where Emerson Park eventually ran out 7-4 winners to go into the last eight. Thomas Neale scored a hat-trick for the Saints but his goals were outweighed by a Rob Clark hat-trick for Park, plus a double from Kyle Paevie and further goals from Joe Pattison and Joey Harris.

Barking made it a fortnight to remember after another important cup victory, this time in the quarter finals against Korona Redbridge. Adam Waclawczyk found the back of the net for the visitors but home goals from Daniel Cook, Ben King and Kastriot Vata carried the Mayesbrook Park side into yet another semi final.

Joining them in the last four of the competition will be Aldborough Hatch who had to go through extra-time against Valley Park after drawing in normal time. But Hatch ultimately booked their place in the next round with an extra-time winner.

DIVISION TWO CUP

Waltham Athletic have booked their place in the quarter finals of the Division Two Cup as the goals rained in with a 9-4 win on Sunday over Morfdown Elect. Elect goals from Terry Martin (2), Adam Davis and Aaron Hills were cancelled out by a Charlie Saywood hat-trick, two goals from Brad Hill and single goals from Liam Nicklin, Daniel Ablitt, Sam Serrar and Rickie Brown.

Also booking a place in the quarter finals are Westferry Elite who saw off the threat of London Fire Brigade by winning 2-0. George Martin and Aaron Richards both found the back of the net for Elite. They will now take on Lonsdale in the next round.

DIVISION THREE CUP

Asif Mahmood was the hero for his side in the Division Three Cup as his hat-trick helped Asianos Reserves book a place in the quarter finals with a 5-1 win over Alpha. Zakariya Rashid and Samiullah Haqhyar also found the back of the net to secure a comfortable win.

Going one better than that result were AC Milano Reserves who followed up their win in the previous round with a cup shock as they dumped third placed Ridgeway Rovers out of the competition, winning 6-0. Tim Harriette netted a brace with Adil Kakuji, Umarfaruk Ahmen, Zeeshan Nabi and Arif Patel also scoring to settle the tie and book a place in the semi finals.

DIVISION FOUR CUP

The Division Four Cup is reaching the conclusion of the group stage with Grey Area having put themselves into a position of getting through to the semi-finals after seeing off Oak Royals in a narrow 3-2 win. Jordan Rodway scored twice for the hosts with Liam Pickett also on target to cancel out Royals’ goals from Bill Gregory and Matthew Martin.

SL Menfica have virtually confirmed their place in the last four after a closely contested single goal win over Epping Forest Falcons which, barring a massive goal difference swing in their last group game, will see them safely through. William Sheehan was the man on target with the all-important goal.

DIVISION ONE

A thrilling tie in Division One saw Barking & Dagenham Wanderers run out narrow 4-3 winners in their clash at third placed Chingford Celtic. Robert Eden scored twice with Nick Read and Sam Coe also netting to move the Wanderers up to sixth in the table.

DIVISION TWO

Park Tavern maintained their hopes of a title challenge with a comfortable 6-1 win on Sunday against Romford Galaxy in Division Two. Craig McNutt scored the Galaxy goal by a Kristopher Brown hat-trick plus goals from David Hornsby (2) and Nick Tormey sent Park to victory.

DIVISION THREE

Partizan CMC threw a huge spanner in the works in Division Three by beating title chasing Upshire Reserves 2-1 in Chigwell. Goals from Harry Savva and Tom Jakob for the hosts cancelled out a Luke Casey goal for Upshire. The visitors remain top but second placed Wanstead remain in pole position assuming they make the most of games in hand.

The second half of the season continues to be fruitful for FC United of Hornchurch who, after a difficult start, have really found their straps in front of goal netting an 8-1 win this week against Fairlop Rangers. Tom King and Billy Pearce both scored twice with Josh Harris, Shaun Farrow, Thomas Pidgeon and Shane Cassidy carrying them to a win and up to fifth in the table.

DIVISION FOUR

The race for promotion in Division Four will go to the wire with Goresbrook having staked their claim this weekend, coming from behind to beat Central Colts 3-2. Tunde Olagunju scored twice for Colts but strikes from Charlie Barrett, William Cox and Liam Coney secured an important victory for second placed Goresbrook.
