Division Four’s runaway leaders, SL Menfica, have booked their place in the final of the Trophyland Cup Final in April following a 3-1 over Division Three’s title chasing Wanstead United on Sunday. Goals from George Boffa, Jordan Clark and Jake Muller were the difference on the day as they confirmed a spot in the final at Thurrock FC on 2nd April against FC Mexico.

PREMIER DIVISION CUP

Valentines United are into the semi-finals of the Premier Division Cup with an emphatic 7-1 victory over Quality Control in Barkingside. Hat-tricks for both Christopher Blohm and Kwame Agyei led the way in an always entertaining match-up between these two sides with Jonathan Andrews’ strike completing the scoring.

DIVISION THREE CUP

Another side booking a semi-final for March were Upshire Reserves who continue their fight for a league and cup double with a narrow 3-2 win on Sunday against Asianos Reserves. Tyler Paterson scored twice for his side with Tommy Marchant’s goal completing the victory and booking a semi-final against Wanstead United or Alliance United.

PREMIER DIVISION

Upshire dropped their first league points of the season last Sunday as Repton Park became the first side to take points from them in an exciting 4-4 draw in Barkingside. Ryan Dear, Ben Darwin, Jack Daveney and Craig Whitaker were all on target for the league leaders but Repton levelled things up through strikes from Jesse Spearing (2), George Pummell and Ryan Kemp.

Lactico remain second in the table after travelling to Beckton to take on Liberty Stars and coming away with maximum points in a 5-1 victory. Henderson Browne scored a hat-trick and Arody Efoko a brace to cancel out a Nana Ayew goal for the hosts who remain fifth.

DIVISION ONE

Barking have closed the gap on the Division One leaders to six points after picking up a hard-fought 2-1 victory on the road at Valley Park on Sunday. Brian Fashaw was on target for Valley but strikes from Daryn Copsey and Ricky Smith saw the visitors to a crucial victory in the title race.

Not far behind the leading sides are Chingford Celtic who also won on the road as they beat Aldborough Hatch in Newbury Park in a 2-0 victory. Tom English and Tom Keating both got their names on the scoresheet for the visitors who remain in pole position with a number of games left in hand.

Another side not to be discounted just yet are Barking & Dagenham Wanderers who have key games to play and are hitting form just at the right moment. The county cup semi finalists were 5-2 winners on Sunday at Warren United Reserves with two goals from Nick Read and singles from Sam Sheppard, David Cole and Robert Eden completing the win. James Masters was on target for both of the Warren goals.

DIVISION TWO

In Division Two’s sole match of the weekend, Waltham Athletic were held to a 2-2 draw at third placed Westferry Elite to put a dent in their title hopes for the season. Brad Hill and Charlie Saywood both scored for the Spartans but Westferry levelled things up to take a point.

DIVISION THREE

Alpha are up to sixth in Division Three after picking up a 4-1 win at Fairlop Rangers on Sunday in Walthamstow. Two goals from Dominic Crichlon and a goal apiece for each of Conor Wallace and Ashley Godwin helped their side confirm maximum points.

DIVISION FOUR

Hornchurch Oakmont have moved themselves into pole position to take the runners up spot in Division Four after a comfortable 7-1 win on Sunday against rivals Oak Royals. George Terry scored a hat-trick and Luke Sawyer a brace with Ross Woolward and Chris Caston goals rounding things off to render a James Harvey goal for the Royals as consolation.

Cup semi-finalists Central Colts completed their league campaign for the season with a 4-1 win at home against Grey Area, their third league win of the season. Calli Barnard scored for the visitors but strikes from Tunde Olagunju (2), Shannon Nyabunze and Farhan Alam were enough to take the points.
