NATIONAL CUP

East London Ballers are into the last four of the national FA Sunday Cup, returning home from south east London with an impressive win under their belts after scooping a 5-1 victory against Under The Radar. They will now head on to face North Solihull Athletic next month in the semi-finals.

SENIOR DIVISION

There was a sixteen-goal contest in the Senior Division at the weekend, Brook Athletic taking on Club 1017 at Fords. Club were 11-5 winners with braces from Abdul Rotinwa, Abdul Bah, Nana Agyeman and Sewa Marahm while Keanu Richards, Mohamed Kamara and Nahtel Adeniyu added the others.

DIVISION ONE CUP

In the Division One Cup, JK Silvertown booked their place in the last eight of the competition, taking a 3-2 first round win against Total Football at Gooseley Playing Fields, confirming a quarter-final against Debden Sports.

DIVISION ONE

Critics were the biggest winners of the day in Division One as they pulled off a big 7-1 victory at home against Benchviews. Hayes Thomas scored a hat-trick, Deyonte Anthony added two, Zak Pianum and Daniel Florence wrapping it up with goals.

One of the big results of the day came from Hainault where title chasing Roose saw their chances dented, going down to a 4-0 home defeat against St Augustines who closed the gap on the promotion places to just three points.

There was a tight game at Castle Green where Barking Riverside were up against UK Moldova with thirteen points between the sides at the start. That was extended to sixteen by the end with Barking edging to a 2-1 win, their fifth of the season.

DIVISION TWO

The Division Two action saw a top of the table clash with Woodford Town earning a massive three points in the context of the title race, taking on rivals AC Milano Reserves at Whitbreads. Luke Dimond scored all three goals for Town in a vital 3-1 success.

That result also meant that Daglanta leapt into second spot, earning a 3-1 home win against Barking & Dagenham Wanderers. Taylor Donovan scored for the visitors but Joseph Atoki, Excellence Muhemba and Ruben Aiyegbusi host goals were enough.

Over in Newbury Park, Singh Sabha Barking continued their good run of form by picking up a 4-0 home win against Stone Town, a result which keeps Singh Sabha in touch with the sides above them in the standings.

DIVISION THREE CUP

The first Division Three Cup finalist of the season has been confirmed after a hard fought contest in Hainault saw South Ilford Catholics prevail 1-0 in their tie against Colebrook Royals Reserves.

DIVISION THREE

Ainslie and Romford Town Flyers provided plenty of drama in a ten-goal thriller. Alan Butt, Thomas Makhan and Callum Adamson all scored for Town but Ryan Radley and James Sims Williams braces in reply, plus William Hunt and Jack Back goals meant Ainslie took a 6-4 win.

DIVISION FOUR

Manford Way have moved into the driving seat in Division Four, taking a vital three points on Sunday morning against their closest rivals, Debden Sports A. A single Manford goal was the only one of the match, their side winning 1-0 to move into a seven-point lead.

In the middle of the table, East End United recorded a fifth win of the season after a narrow 3-2 home success against Prospect Protégé. Joseph Connor, Mike Elsmore and Aiden Jackson goals done the business to render Archie Kieran’s brace as consolation.

DIVISION FIVE CUP

Two quarter-finals reached a conclusion in the Division Five Cup, firstly as Lonsdale continued their great run, beating another higher ranked side 2-1 in the form of Epping Town with goals from Anton Nikolli and Charlie Owen. Daniel Winter scored the Town goal in reply.

The same scoreline was reflected in the other tie where Young Royals were another side to pull off a cupset against higher ranked opponents, returning home with Town Mead with a 2-1 win against Chingford Athletic under their belts, despite Kyle Mavris’ goal.

DIVISION FIVE

Romford Rovers are now sitting four points clear at the top of Division Five, racking up an 8-1 win on Sunday against Mansfield Rangers. Louie Baker, Mason Deegan and Dylan Marsland all scored two, Jamie Randall and Ryan Rodwell the others. Jack Cousins struck Rangers’ goal in reply.

There was a score draw in the game between two sides locked in mid-table where Valence United B and Alpha shared the points in east London in a 2-2 draw. Ryan Crowley and Rowan Newland struck for Valence with Tariq Mahmoud and Tafari Miller netting for Alpha.

The final game from the division came from Parsloes Park and saw that rare occurrence in Sunday morning football of a goalless draw. May & Baker EC and Legacy City were the sides involved with their defences reigning supreme in a 0-0 draw.

DIVISION SIX

The goals were flowing in Division Six, beginning in Barkingside where Ping City Phoenixes and Hainault Athletic produced a ten-goal game with Ping 6-4 victors. Jack Flood scored four, Varun Syal and Abdelrahman Baky adding the others for the winners.

Not too far away, Ace Athletics were edged out 4-3 by second placed, Newbury Drive. Joshua Craske’s scoring form continued with two more, Thomas Mason with the other while Luke Newbury-Neale’s brace and one each from Jamie Kent and Luey Young drove Drive to the win.

The league leaders, Colebrook Royals A, remain two points in the clear with three games to go, making it twelve wins for the season after a 3-0 away win against Inter Newbury in Hainault.

Fourth placed Debden Sports B returned to winning ways, netting all three points in a close game with JK Silvertown Reserves as Andrew Moffat, Nicholas Wilson and Neel Patel all scored in a 3-2 Sports win.

DIVISION SEVEN

Barking Colts were the biggest winners of the day in Division Seven where they travelled to Emerson & Upminster and took all three points in a cup final dress rehearsal, Louis Cook-Forrester’s goal not quite enough as Colts ran out 5-1 victors.

League leaders, Valence United C bounced back to winning ways and remain a couple of points clear at the summit after a 2-0 home win against United Amateurs Reserves at Barking Park, Jamie Wooster and Rasheed Fasanya scoring the goals.

Gatcliffe sit in third place on goal difference and still well amongst the promotion picture, making it nine wins this season with a 4-1 home victory against Zone 4. Codi Wackett’s hat-trick led the way, Ben North adding the other, while Jamie Brown scored for the visitors.

Second placed Warren United are the third side in the race at the top and they overcame a couple of Daniel Munroe goals for Romford Bullsharks to prevail at Hainault Rec, Warren 4-2 winners ahead of the remaining nine games of the season.

COUNTY CUP

AC Milano’s quarter-final tie in the London Sunday Challenge Cup saw them travel south to take on Hatcham on Sunday, ending the day empty handed as Hatcham won the game 3-1 to proceed on.

CHARITY CUP

The West Essex Sunday Charity Trophy quarter-final action saw Byron Red Star overcome tricky opposition, 2-1 winners at Parsloes Park, beating London Legacy to set up another semi-final appearance this season.
