DIVISION TWO CUP

E4 Rangers are into the hat for the semi-finals of the Division Two Cup after beat the division’s title chasers, Waltham Athletic, in a 3-0 victory on Sunday. Macauley White scored twice to help his side to the win with Robert Port’s goal completing the victory.

PREMIER DIVISION

Lactico have moved to within five points of leaders Upshire in the Premier Division title race with a 3-2 win at home to Valentines United in a local derby on Sunday. Charlie Flander and Adam Lindsay were both on target for the visitors but their goals proved not quite enough on the day.

Repton Park are third in the table on the back of an emphatic 6-0 win on the road at Ainslie Wood in Walthamstow. Jesse Spearing scored a hat-trick for his side to help them on their way which added to a Ryan Kemp brace and a Jobe Ambrose goal to secure victory.

Flanders have virtually confirmed their place once again in the Premier Division next season with an 8-0 win against Downs that moves them up to fifth. A brace apiece for Lawal Alhada and Shane Campbell plus further goals from Naseer Ishanzaden, Nathan Merrifield, Matt Hector and Adam Hunt completed the scoresheet.

DIVISION ONE

Chingford Celtic put nine goals past Dagenham United on Sunday as they enhanced their title credentials and closed the gap on the leaders. Ross Chimes and Robert Teppett both scored twice with Gus Douglas, Tom English, Dom Farmer, Jack Ironside and Lee Pearce finishing things off to secure a 9-3 win.

Barking are in second place and are very much in with a chance themselves as they beat Aldborough Hatch 4-2 in Newbury Park. Kastriot Vata scored twice with Ben King and a long-range effort from Barking’s keeper Wayne Baker making the difference and securing a vital win.

Valley Park’s final league game of the campaign saw an eighth league win of a solid opening season as they beat St Augustines 3-2 on Sunday. Charlie Casey and Luke Diebelius netted for the Saints but their goals proved in vain as Valley took home the points.

In the division’s final game, Warren United Reserves and Korona Redbridge finished level at 1-1 to take home a share of the points each. Darren Burns scored for the home side with Artur Hajduk’s goal levelling the scores for Korona.

DIVISION TWO

Park Tavern maintained their hopes of challenging for the Division Two title as they moved up to fourth place in the standings after a 6-1 win over Morfdown Elect. Kristopher Brown and David Hornsby scored two goals each with Greg Saunders and Danny Davey completing the scoring.

Completing their second campaign with the league, Westferry Elite have finished another solid season with a 2-0 win at home to cup finalists, FC Mexico. The win has taken them up to third in the table but with sides around them with games in hand.

DIVISION THREE

It was the battle of the top two sides in Division Three on Sunday where Upshire Reserves travelled to Wanstead United knowing they needed maximum points to keep their hopes alive. And that was what they did as they ran out 6-0 winners to complete their campaign for the season. Tyler Paterson scored a hat-trick for his side with Ross Paterson netting a brace and Jack Archer a single to open an eight point gap at the top. Wanstead United have five games left to try and overhaul that total to secure the crown.

Ridgeway Rovers confirmed at least a fourth placed finish in the division as they won 6-0 on the road at AC Milano Reserves. Jaden Maloney scored twice with strikes from Jack Payne, Jordon Charles, Hakan Barrena and Duone Minors rounding off the victory on the day.

In the division’s other remaining fixture, a single goal was enough to separate Alpha and Asianos Reserves in their clash at Wanstead Flats. A 1-0 victory for Asianos Reserves gave them a big boost in the fight to avoid the drop with a couple of games remaining in their season.

COUNTY CUP

Barking & Dagenham Wanderers put up a valiant fight in their Essex Sunday Junior Trophy semi-final on Sunday as they travelled down to Southend to take on Leigh United Reserves. Just a deflected goal separated the sides at the break but Wanderers couldn’t overhaul that effort in the second half with Leigh running out 3-0 winners to go through to the final.
