WEEK 26 REVIEW: Round-up of all the Corinthian League action from the weekend

TROPHYLAND CUP
East End United produced another Trophyland cupset, winners by the odd goal in seven in a 4-2 success against Division Three’s Woodford Town Reserves. Jevonte Cassar scored two, Joseph Connor and Ryan Mallett the others with Conor Medhust striking twice and Billy Brown one in consolation.
Also through against higher ranked opposition are Chingford Athletic, the lowest ranked side left in the competition as they defeated Division Four’s Royal Lions 4-1 in Hainault. Darryl Wilson was the hero with a hat-trick, Garry Collier scoring the other.
Another cupset saw Division Four’s Manford Way take on higher ranked opposition with Ainslie the opponents at Wadham Lodge. But the visitors found a Way, Jake Li scoring two, Daniel Moulden and Herman Mwanza adding the gloss in a 4-0 Manford victory.
Colebrook Royals Reserves are now the highest ranked side left in the competition, the Division Three through to the semi-finals with a 2-1 home win against Romford Town Flyers. Lloyd Ross scored for Flyers but Makai Fray and Jason Lewis goals meant it was Royals leaving with the win.
ENDEAVOUR CUP
The last eight stage was completed in the Endeavour Cup with Ping City Phoenixes into the last four, overcoming Warren United 3-1 in a local derby match. Dan Arnot, Varun Syal and Jack Flood all struck, overcoming Joshua McKenna’s goal for United.
Also through in strong fashion are Colebrook Royals A who struck six in a 6-2 away at JK Silvertown Reserves on Sunday to make the last four. Arthur Massingham scored two with Wilfred Sills, Jonathan Lomotey, James Deaney and George Marlborough adding the others for Royals.
DIVISION ONE CUP
The semi-final line-up was completed on Sunday as JK Silvertown put themselves through to the semi-final later this month with a bounceback 3-1 victory over Debden Sports Reserves. After defeat last time out, Aeli Agha’s brace and Gosling Jenkins’ effort made JK winners this time around.
The first semi-final in this competition was also completed and that saw two local sides compete with Colebrook Royals up against Repton Park in Chigwell. Repton were the side to confirm a place in the final, Jayden Ambrose scoring two and Teddy Henderson one to make their first final in a few years.
SENIOR DIVISION
East London Ballers have moved up into second spot in the Senior Division with four games left to play, earning a narrow win against former champions Baiteze Squad on Sunday with a 2-1 local derby victory, Kieran James and Khristopher Oti netting.
DIVISION ONE
There was a seven-goal thriller in east London on Sunday where it took an odd goal in seven to separate UK Moldova and Critics, the latter scoring that vital seventh in a 4-3 win. Joshua Lamaswala scored two, Dean Florence and Deyonte Anthony the others in the Critics win.
Total Football also produced an important win which goes a long way to securing their status at this level, 3-0 home winners against an in-form St Augustines side in Loughton, taking their points tally up to fourteen.
DIVISION TWO
Barking & Dagenham Wanderers edged past East London Ballers Under 23s into seventh spot from their penultimate match of the season, 3-2 winners following Keanan Bancroft’s brace and a David Boateng goal. Alif Khorshed and Shaun Scudder both scored in reply for Ballers.
Leaders Woodford Town are now seven points clear at the top with four games to go, netting themselves a big away win at Singh Sabha Barking, 6-0 the final scoreline. Luke Dimond’s hat-trick led the way with Courtney Cooke, Morgan Radley and Sam May-Parrott adding the others.
FC Galaxy got back to winning ways ahead of their huge county cup tie this Sunday, moving fourth after a 3-0 away win against Stone Town. Mihai Mareniuc scored two and Ilie Cojocaru one as the team moved into fourth spot in the table.
DIVISION THREE
Cup finalists, South Ilford Catholic, made the most of a double header on Sunday to leap into fourth spot, winning 4-2 against United Amateurs despite goals from Jack Chawner and Berty Frith, adding another 1-0 win to their record to take their wins tally to seven.
DIVISION FOUR CUP
The last first round action of the season saw the delayed tie between Byron Red Star and Debden Sports A get underway finally, Sports being the side to walk away the happier in a 3-1 scoreline. Oscar Simmons scored two and Elliot Betts one to put their side into the quarters.
DIVISION FOUR
Prospect Protégé found their shooting boots on Sunday to put nine goals past Cardinals Athletic in Chadwell Heath. Juan de la Puente scored four, Charlie Dillon two, Emmanuel Alo, David Johnson and Archie Kieran one each in a 9-0 success for the hosts.
DIVISION FIVE CUP
It was semi-finals day in the Division Five Cup where Valence United B made their return to the cup final stage, their Dagenham derby seeing them earn a 3-1 home victory against Lonsdale. Ben King struck two and Rowan Newland one, Conor Treadwell netting the visitors’ goal in reply.
Meeting them in the final will be Young Royals who reach a cup final for the first time following a high-scoring 5-3 victory against Alpha. Tariq Mahmoud, Tafari Miller and Anthony Joseph all scored for Alpha but five Royals goals in response meant it was them heading to the final.
DIVISION SIX
A victory for fourth-placed Debden Sports B in Sunday’s Division Six league clash with Hainault Athletic has left the latter in the last chance saloon for survival, Sports 2-1 winners despite a Hainault goal from Greg Barteluk.
DIVISION SEVEN
Valence United C have moved five points clear in the race for the title, overcoming a tough battle with Emerson & Upminster to take all three points in a 4-2 win. Jordan Cook and Reece Stanley both scored twice each for United to help them to the win.
Also netting three points were Barking Colts who sit fourth in the standings following a seventh win of the season, a 3-1 home success against Romford Bullsharks. Jack Edwards grabbed a goal for the visitors but that wasn’t quite enough in the end.
COUNTY CUP
Former winners of the London Sunday Challenge Cup, Hatch Lane, are through into the last four of the competition once again, producing a comprehensive victory at Parsloes Park, beating Hendon United in a 8-1 scoreline.
CHARITY CUP
AC Milano are through to the semi-finals of this season’s West Essex Sunday Charity Cup, overcoming a potential banana skin tie against Division Two’s high-flying Daglanta. But it was AC in top form on Sunday, winning 7-1 to secure a semi-final spot at JK Silvertown.
