COUNTY CUP

It’s a hat-trick of Essex cup finalists this season, Byron Red Star completing the set with their superb away win in Brightlingsea earn them a 3-2 victory at The Tips, confirming a place in the Essex Junior Trophy Final on 25th April at Heybridge Swifts.

SENIOR DIVISION

Baiteze Squad earned themselves a third league win of the season on Sunday, their penultimate league fixture seeing them take all three points in a 5-2 home win against AC Milano at Parsloes Park, keeping them in fourth place.

East London Ballers remain just a couple of points off the pace in second spot, picking up a 5-3 win against Brook Athletic. Eric Koduah’s hat-trick plus Keanu Hill and Kieran James’ goal set them on their way with Mitchell Collymore, Shomari Barnwell and Tyler Houston-Taylor responding for Brook.

DIVISION ONE

Debden Sports Reserves have moved a couple of points clear in the title race after racking up a hugely important 4-1 home win at Chigwell Lane against Critics on Sunday. Dean Florence scored for the visitors but that proved in vain as Sports ran out winners.

Total Football put in a strong winning performance, taking all three points from their contest with UK Moldova at Roding Valley. Total were 7-1 winners with Oliver Marshall netting two, with Harry Best, Haaris Sohoye, Fiaz Akhtar, Carl Parsons and Nile Painter adding the gloss.

It was double delight for JK Silvertown who racked up two wins against Benchviews, firstly a 4-0 success through a Gravlyn-Boss Kitondo hat-trick and a Chris Wright effort. They then made it a 7-0 win in game two through Gosling Jenkins (2), Joel Stichbury, Nathan Matembele, Gravlyn-Boss Kitondo, Chris Wright and Aeli Agha.

DIVISION TWO

Woodford Town took a vital point to keep them in pole position with three games to go, held to a 2-2 draw against county cup finalists, FC Galaxy, in east London. Ilie Cojocaru and Alexandru Saru scored for the hosts with Luke Dimond and Sean O’Regan netting in reply for Town.

Second placed AC Milano Reserves moved into second spot with a big home win against Barking & Dagenham Wanderers in Newbury Park. The hosts were 6-2 winners, their ninth win this season while Wanderers finish their campaign with an eighth placed finish.

Just a few yards away, Singh Sabha Barking were back to winning ways after earning a solid 3-1 home win against Daglanta. Omari Williams’ brace and a Sarwan Birak effort were enough in the end, Jordan Kamanzi netting the visitors’ goal in reply.

DIVISION THREE

Romford Town Flyers earned themselves a second win of the season on Sunday with a 5-3 victory against eighth placed United Amateurs in Hainault. Lloyd Ross was on fire with four goals, Harry Glenister with the other, while Jack Chawner scored two and Berty Frith the other for United.

There were ten goals in the game in east London where Warren Senior kept their decent run of form going with an 8-2 away win against Ainslie. Pacey Breshani’s hat-trick, Jack Glenister’s brace and strikes from Nathan Elgie and Jamie Marsh were the difference.

It was a case of de ja vu in the double header between South Ilford Catholics and Colebrook Royals Reserves who saw both games end in a narrow 1-0 win for Royals. Tobias Tinubu scored in one of the games with Jason Lewis netting the winner in the other.

DIVISION FOUR CUP

Manford Way will contest a cup final once again this season after coming through their semi-final with Asianos in a 2-0 to scoreline to book their place once again. Herman Mwanza struck with both goals for Manford to help his team over the line.

DIVISION FIVE

A single goal was enough to separate the sides at Stonards Hill on Sunday where David Macauley’s strike meant that May & Baker EC were able to walk away with a 1-0 win against Epping Town, moving them three points clear with two games to go.

Fifth placed Valence United B still have a big role to play in the race and made it eight wins for the season on Sunday with a 5-1 victory at Lonsdale. Charlie Owen struck for the hosts but Rowan Newland’s four goals plus an Enzo Victoriano goal meant their side took the win.

An in-form Alpha side also tasted victory once again as Tafari Miller’s four goals helped his side beat Chingford Athletic 6-3 at Town Mead. Anthony Joseph and Jake Skeet added the other goals while Darryl Wilson’s brace and a Vilius Dambrauskas strike accounted for the Chingford goals.

Over at Gooseley Playing Fields, Athletic Newham returned to winning ways with a 4-2 home success against Legacy City. Karl Brolly’s hat-trick led the way, Jack Field with the other, while Kristian Panayotov and Frankie Naidoo struck for City in reply.

DIVISION SIX

Newbury Drive and Debden Sports B warmed up for their cup final with a dress rehearsal in the league, Drive the side walking away 5-2 winners on this occasion. Charlie Thompson scored two, Henry Wood, Mitchell Edmonds and Graham Bryan netting the others.

Colebrook Royals A have moved to the cusp of a second successive league title, their penultimate match seeing them net a 4-0 home win against Ace Athletics. Victory next weekend at The Grange will see Royals over the line.

Ping City Phoenixes lost ground in the race for the title, slipping to a 4-1 away defeat at JK Silvertown Reserves over the weekend. Patrick Duggan, Brett Liddy, Thomas Turner and Steven Starkey all found the back of the net for JK, moving them up to fourth.

Over in Hainault, it was London Legacy who earned the spoils in their clash with Inter Newbury, 4-2 winners in a result which moves them up into sixth spot in the table.  Mohamed Noor scored two, Lucas Tavares and Charlie Cole notching the other goals for London.

DIVISION SEVEN

There were some big results affecting the top of the Division Seven table, beginning with a double header between Warren United and Gatcliffe. Warren were 3-0 winners in one game with Oliver Regan netting two and Joshua McKenna one. Gatcliffe won the other game 1-0 to share the overall points.

That result helped the leaders, Valence United C, who were beaten by the odd goal in five at home against Barking Colts. Emmanuel Fowowe scored two and William Rodrigues one for Colts in a 3-2 success for the visitors.

Double header action elsewhere saw Emerson & Upminster net themselves six points in a pair of 5-0 wins against United Amateurs Reserves. Alfie Webb scored two, Oliver Morgan, Louis Cook-Forrester and Ellis Nicholson one each in one of the games with Joey Rankin, Alfie Emin, Ellis Nicholson, Alfie Webb and Harry Wade striking in the other.

The goals also flowed at Redbridge Sports Centre where Romford Bullsharks and Zone 4 Athletic were in scoring form in a 4-4 draw. Teraun Davis and Chris Churchill scored twice each for Zone with Zachery Bussell scoring twice, Tyler Houston and Daniel Snell once each for Romford.
