CORINTHIAN CUP

East London Ballers edged past lower ranked, AC Milano Reserves, in a 3-2 scoreline to set up a Corinthian Cup semi-final against their own reserves. Joshua Adu and Dwayne Francis-Riley goals were overcome by Baller efforts from Fahad Nazor, Ibrahim Akanbi and Zayshaun Asamoah.

TROPHYLAND CUP

The line-up for this season’s Trophyland Cup Final is now confirmed following a big win on Sunday by Manford Way who were 5-2 winners over Byron Red Star courtesy of four Ollie Scott goals along with a William Sandell strike, setting up a final with Ping City.

SENIOR DIVISION

Yeni Bogazici put a big spanner in the works in the Senior Division title race as they recorded a hard fought 3-2 win over challengers, Brook Athletic, in their match at Parsloes Park, that proving to be Yeni’s third league success of the season.

DIVISION ONE

Woodford Town are four points clear at the top of Division One following the weekend’s results, travelling to east London and returning with all three points in a 3-1 success against JK Silvertown – Luke Dimond netting two and Morgan Radley one.

DIVISION TWO

East London Ballers Reserves now require seven points from their remaining three games to snatch the Division Two title after a solid 3-0 win away at Barking & Dagenham Wanderers. Mohammed Bhayat, Junior Milla and Mohammed Malik all struck to earn victory for their side.

DIVISION THREE

There was a win for Stone Town in Division Three as they reversed their fortunes against Prospect Protégé to record a win this time around, 3-1 victors through two Mateen Khelifi efforts and one from Zein Ali, while Ethan Grodent struck for the visitors.

DIVISION FOUR

Over at Newbury Park, it was a strong showing from East Park Rovers who completed their first season in winning fashion, netting four without reply in a 4-0 success against East London Ballers Under 23s. Joshua Fagbohun’s hat-trick paved the way with Reece Hewitt notching the other.

DIVISION FIVE

Newbury Drive have closed the gap at the top to five points on the leaders following their hard fought 2-1 win over Epping Town on Sunday to confirm a tenth league victory. Billy Happe and Paul Schouwenburg struck the all important goals.

It was a more routine outing for London Legacy at Parsloes Park where the hosts recorded a strong 6-2 win over Young Royals with both Emmanuel Kouassi and Ahmed Ali scoring hat-tricks in the win, putting their side just a couple of points away from confirming safety.

DIVISION SIX

It was a four point haul for the Division Six leaders after Legacy City took three points first up against JK Silvertown Reserves before a 2-2 draw in the second fixture of a double header, keeping them in the lead with still plenty of key fixtures remaining.

Chingford Athletic are the main threat to the league title with five games still to play and they kept that momentum going in a 2-1 win over Gatcliffe in Dagenham where Bradley Williams and Justin Clarke both scored in the victory.

Another side who will have a say in what happens at the top before the end of the season are Valence United B and they produced another win in defeating Warren United in a 6-2 scoreline, despite a couple of Oliver Regan goals from the visitors.

DIVISION SEVEN

There were some high-scoring games in Division Seven, beginning in Barkingside where the champions, Ace Athletics, signed off an unbeaten league campaign with a 4-1 win against Hainault Athletic. Tom Mason scored two, Charlie Land and Joshua Craske the others while Wasiu Lawal notched Hainault’s consolation.

Two of the cup finalists were in scoring form as Romford Bullsharks netted eight in an eventual 8-4 win over Barkingside in Rainham. Zac Bussell scored four, Ricky Hall struck two with Bailey Childs and James Edwards adding the others to keep the scoresheet busy.

Their opponents next weekend will be Barking Colts who rounded off their preparations with a seven goal victory, beating Highams Park Rangers 7-4. Mitchell Briden, Liam Angel-Amoros, Jay Grant and Alfie Mason scored for Rangers with Akeem Matthews (3), Chistopher Adewumi, Arinze Ossai, Quincy Warner and Eligert Hasukaj notching for Colts.

There were just the eight goals in the other game from the division where Zone 4 Athletic finished 6-2 winners over United Amateurs Reserves with a Marcos Haley hat-trick leading the way, Liam Pickering, Zac Doyle and Jerome Greenidge completing the scoring.

COUNTY CUP

In the last of the county cup semi-final ties involving league clubs, East End United made the trip to north London to take on AFC Muswell Hill in the London Junior Cup, with a two division deficit to overcome. But they made a real game of it, eventually edged out by the odd goal in a 3-2 defeat with Muswell Hill going through.
