WEEK 29 REVIEW: Round-up of all the Corinthian League action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION CUP
Brook Athletic have kept alive hopes of a place in the last four in the Senior Cup, taking victory against Hatch Lane at Parsloes Park in a 3-1 scoreline. Reece Simpson, Craig Jeakins and Elton Tettey all struck for the visitors to hand them the win.
A side guaranteed a semi-final spot are AC Milano who shoot to the top of the group on the back of their success against Baiteze Squad. Dylan Broadley came off the bench to score the game’s only goal in a 1-0 win for the hosts.
DIVISION ONE CUP
An exhilarating Division One Cup semi-final saw JK Silvertown fight off a Roose comeback in Hainault to book their place in the final after a 5-4 win. Roose twice levelled up the contest but JK netted a winner to ensure it was them booking a place on 11th May.
DIVISION ONE
Critics were in goalscoring form on Sunday, netting seven in their away trip to Benchviews to earn a move up into third place in the standings. Dean Florence scored a hat-trick, Malique Clarke added two, James Mitchell and Joshua Lamaswala netting the others in a 7-1 success.
Goal difference continues to separate the top two with Repton Park sitting top with five games to go, their weekend’s performance seeing them earn an important 2-1 win against local rivals, Debden Sports Reserves. George Pummell and Jayden Ambrose netted for the Park to move them top.
Sitting in second on goal difference, Colebrook Royals still have matters in their own hands entering the last couple of months and made it eleven league wins for the season on Sunday with a 2-1 win against Total Football, Sam Wilson and Philip Hornby scoring the goals.
UK Moldova are up into tenth spot, picking up a second league win of the season on Sunday with a big 5-2 home success against St Augustines. Marian Rosu was the star of the show with four goals while Stanislav Vasilachi notched the other.
DIVISION TWO
Woodford Town have moved a step closer to the league title in Division Two, picking up a twelfth win of the season following a 4-0 success at Upshire Forest. Sean O’Regan, Sam May-Parrott, Luke Dimond and Liam Daly scored the goals to hand their side the points.
Third placed Daglanta moved to within two points of the promotion spots as they made it nine wins for the season, winning narrowly 3-2 against East London Ballers Under 23s. Humoud Majid scored two and Andy Morris one while Oluwaseyi Ijiwole and Razat Rahman netted in consolation.
There was a six-goal thriller in Dagenham where FC Galaxy and Singh Sabha Barking combined to share the points in a 3-3 draw. Mihai Mareniuc scored twice off the bench, Andre Cazacu with the other for Galaxy while Omari Williams scored two and Jag Rathore one for Singh Sabha.
DIVISION THREE
Leaders Leytonstone Athletic are moving closer to the title in Division Three, moving to fourteen wins following a hard fought 3-2 home win against Romford Town Flyers. Sam Walker scored twice for Town but Leytonstone goals from George Burton and Lee Harris saw them take the win.
The other game from the division saw Warren Senior pick up a seventh league win of the season, scoring the game’s only goal in a 1-0 win at home against Colebrook Royals Reserves, keeping them on the heels of the sides above.
DIVISION FOUR CUP
East End United produced a big performance to book a slot in the semi-final of the Division Four Cup, netting six goals without reply against Debden Sports A. Mike Elsmore and Alfie Mansfield both scored twice each, Mikolaj Ratajczak and Joseph McEnroe adding the others in a 6-0 win.
DIVISION FOUR
It was points shared in the double header between Byron Red Star and Eastern Avenue where Byron were 2-0 winners in the first as Daniel Anderton and Stefanos Ladoukakis netted. Eastern took the honours second time round with Gerald Longwe netting two and Paulius Olisauskas one in a 3-0 win.
DIVISION FIVE
The Division Five race took another twist on Sunday with Romford Rovers returning to the summit after a 4-1 away win against Alpha in east London. Jake Skeet struck for the hosts but Rovers’ brace from Liam Adams and goals from Jamie Randall and Callum Gater meant they took the points.
Over in Dagenham, the derby game between Valence United B and May & Baker EC saw the lead exchanged. David Macauley and Alex Paraskeva struck for Bakers but two Rowan Newland goals plus Ashley Collins, Enzo Victoriano and Ryan Knight efforts meant Valence won it 5-2 by the end.
It was honours even in the remaining game where Mansfield Rangers and Lonsdale took a point apiece in a 3-3 draw at Douglas Eyre. Billy Happe’s double and Jake Magson’s strike accounted for the Rangers goals while Kalium Fletcher scored two and Charlie Owen one in reply.
DIVISION SIX
It was title delight once against for Colebrook Royals A who produced the win they needed against Debden Sports B to lay their hands on the silverware. They were 3-0 winners through goals from George Marlborough, Oliver West and Arthur Massingham. Congratulations to all at Colebrook on their achievement.
Newbury Drive earned themselves a runners-up finish, netting seven in their 7-2 derby win against Ace Athletics. Samuel White, Alfie Mobey, Luke Newbury-Neale, Graham Bryan, Harrison Wright, Lucas Verdant and Luey Young netted for Drive with Dean Ben-Yosef and Joshua Craske scoring for Ace in reply.
Also in goal scoring form were FC Mexico who moved into ninth spot with three games to go to keep alive hopes of beating the drop. Luke Sutcliff struck twice for Hainault Athletic but the Mexicans netted eight in an 8-2 win to take the honours.
Ping City Phoenixes moved to within one win of confirming a third placed finish, netting themselves a 5-1 home win in Barkingside against London Legacy. Walid Benmouna struck for Legacy but that proved just consolation in the end.
Completing the action, JK Silvertown Reserves’ penultimate match of the season saw them travel across to Inter Newbury at London Marathon on Sunday. JK walked away with the win and a move up into fourth spot, 4-1 the final scoreline there.
DIVISION SEVEN
Gatcliffe have moved top of the table in Division Seven, picking up a 5-2 away win against Barking Colts. Devante Samuel struck four goals and Ben North one for the visitors with Emmanuel Fowowe netting both in response for Colts.
Emerson & Upminster warmed up for their upcoming cup final with victory in their trip to Zone 4 Athletic. Alfie Webb scored four and Louis Cook-Forrester twice for Emerson with Chris Churchill and Joe Cutler netting in reply for Zone.
Over at Hainault Rec, United Amateurs Reserves picked up a fourth league of the season with three games to go, edging their encounter with Romford Bullsharks in a 2-1 scoreline. Thomas Chawner and Kumi Francis scored for United with George Creedon scoring Romford’s reply.
