ENDEAVOUR CUP

The line-up for this season’s Endeavour Cup Final has now been confirmed following the weekend’s results and Division Seven champions, Ace Athletics, will be there following a 3-2 cupset win over JK Silvertown Reserves earned via goals from Charlie Land, Paul Bergamini and Thomas Mason.

Their opponents in the showcase final will be the higher ranked Valence United B who confirmed their place after a closely fought 2-1 win against Warren United. Oliver Regan struck with the Warren goal while Reece Stanley and Quincy Osei efforts proved just enough for Valence.

SENIOR DIVISION CUP

It was also semi-final action in the Senior Division Cup where a close game saw Baiteze Squad and Brook Athletic finish level at 1-1 in ninety minutes, before Baiteze held their nerve in the resulting shootout to win that 5-3 and head into next month’s final.

DIVISION ONE

Back in the league, JK Silvertown kept alive their hopes of a top two finish in Division One as they scored both goals in a 2-0 away win over St Augustines which moved them up into third place in the standings.

DIVISION TWO CUP

It was Division Two Cup Final day at Mayesbrook Park where Singh Sabha Barking were taking on CSM London. An even contest was played out though Leandro Alva’s first half double pushed CSM ahead before Emre Ozuaciksoz’s effort extended that to three after the break. Singh Sabha fought back with two late goals to make things nervy but it proved too late, CSM winning 3-2 and lifting the silverware.

DIVISION TWO

Back in the league, East London Ballers Reserves moved to within a point of taking the league title as they defeated Warren Senior in a 5-1 scoreline to move top on goal difference. Marquez Cadette, Razat Rahman, Camron Coley, Oluwatayo Felstead and Mohammed Malik struck for Ballers, Nathan Elgie scoring the Warren consolation.

DIVISION THREE

In Division Three, Byron Red Star moved to within three points of the leaders on Sunday with five games in hand, recording a solid 3-0 home win over Debden Sports Reserves at Hylands Park, Byron’s eleventh win in twelve league games this term.

Sitting in fourth position, Prospect Protégé sit four points outside of the promotion places following a big home win, defeating South Ilford Catholics in a 6-0 scoreline. Charlie Dillon netted two with Harry Casey, Mathew Collings-Edwards, Aaron Martin and Tom Enever adding the gloss on the scoreline.

Manford Way still have seven league games to play to try and impact things above them and they continued a winning run with a 2-1 victory against Euro Stars where William Coakley and Joe Marjason goals were the difference in a close contest.

DIVISION FOUR

Colebrook Royals A are up into second place in the standings with one game to go after they produced a win in their penultimate game, 3-0 victors over East London Ballers Under 23s ahead of their cup final meeting. Oliver West scored two and Harvey Webb one in the Royals win.

DIVISION FIVE

Athletic Newham were in fine scoring form after a 15-2 victory over Mansfield Rangers. Mahmoud Yagob scored five, Karl Brolly a hat-trick, Ronnie Wilson and Jack Field two while Charlie Morgan, Kieran Dickerson and Jack Andrews notched the others. Robbie Allen and Jake Magson scored the Rangers goals in reply.

Ping City Phoenixes are now three points off the promotion places following their victory on Sunday, beating Young Royals in a 4-0 scoreline to record win number nine. Jack Flood scored two, Ryan Radley and William Salter notching the others.

DIVISION SIX

Chingford Athletic warmed up for next weekend’s county cup final with a league victory on Sunday, winning 4-2 over Coppice Row to sit three points off the leaders. George Whalley netted two with Michael Mignot and Andre Graham scoring the others.

Third placed Gatcliffe kept alive their outside hopes of a top two finish as they edged a five goal thriller against Emerson & Upminster. Harry Pitt scored both goals for Emerson though those efforts ended up being in vain.

Another match effecting the bottom end of the standings saw Lonsdale move very close to securing their status in the division, wining by the odd goal in a 2-1 victory against Newbury Kings, aided by a goal each from Joseph Golding and Ylli Shahinaj.

DIVISION SEVEN CUP

The first final of the season saw Barking Colts facing Romford Bullsharks at Parkside on Sunday morning for the Division Seven Cup. An early goal from Akeem Matthews, slotting into the corner, was followed by John Mansoori’s fortuitous effort before the break which gave Colts a 2-0 lead. Romford fought back in the second half but couldn’t quite force their way back in and it was Colts who lifted the trophy at full-time.

DIVISION SEVEN

There was just the one game in Division Seven where Barkingside were up against Zone 4 Athletic in the latter’s final game of the season. It was ‘Side who left the happier however, winning 4-2 despite Zone goals from Jerome Greenidge and Sanchez Myrie.
