DIVISION ONE CUP
The Division One Cup Final was played out on Sunday afternoon as a goalless first half between St Augustines and JK Silvertown saw the deadlock finally broken just after the break with Gravlyn Kitondo’s penalty plus Dean Coster and Mekhi Clarke goals sending the silverware home with JK in a 3-0 scoreline.
DIVISION ONE
The Division One title race is reaching a real climax at the top two sides met at Town Mead at the weekend where a single Charlie Kerswell goal was the difference between the sides in a 1-0 victory for Upshire Forest over Woodford Town.
DIVISION TWO
It’s congratulations to East London Ballers Reserves following Sunday’s results as their 4-2 success against CSM London confirmed the league title. Anthony Obikwo’s hat-trick plus Ronaldo Naddah’s effort were sufficient to overcome Kalum Blanks and Ashley King goals.
DIVISION THREE
There was a glut of goals in Division Three where Prospect Protégé were 6-1 winners on the road at Euro Stars where two Archie Kieran goals plus efforts from Alexander Brennand, Sipho Nyoni and Ethan Grodent were too much in the end.
It was an eight goal contest in the game at Chigwell Lane as Debden Sports Reserves’ penultimate match saw them finish 5-3 winners against Condor Reserves with Edward Bines (2), Jack Sawdon, Elliot Betts and Gabriel Murray all on the scoresheet.
DIVISION FOUR
Colebrook Royals A confirmed a runners-up spot in Division Four at the weekend, leaping above their opponents, East End United, in a 1-0 scoreline in Rainham. James Deaney was the game’s only scorer in an expectedly tight contest.
DIVISION FIVE CUP
On Sunday afternoon, the Division Five Cup Final pitted two close rivals against each other as Newham Drive scored three in the first half against Ping City Phoenixes through two Billy Happe efforts and one from Harry Rouse. Drive held on despite an improved Ping second half showing to lift the trophy at full time.
DIVISION FIVE
London Legacy earned a vital point in their quest to beat the drop, moving out of the relegation zone following a solid 2-2 home draw against Epping Town at Parsloes Park. Charlie Saywood’s double for Legacy was equalled by Jordan Paul and Matthew Winter goals.
DIVISION SIX CUP
It was a Parkside classic on Friday evening where Newbury Kings led twice against Valence United B in the Division Six Cup Final before a late equaliser made it 3-3, Jamie Wooster, Jordan Cook and Quincy Osei scoring the goals. Valence then came from behind in the shootout too, winning that 5-4 to put their name on the trophy.
DIVISION SIX
There was a certain symmetry to Sunday’s double header where Valence United kept their momentum going with a pair of 6-3 wins over JK Silvertown Reserves. Jahsiah Weeks (2), Rasheed Fasanya (2), Kamal Mahoney and Reece Stanley scored in game one with James Cook’s hat-trick, Kien Bryant, Jordan Cook and Daniel Cook netting the game two.
In other action affecting the top end of the table, Legacy City remain clear at the top with a game to go, recording a 2-1 away victory over Lonsdale in east London, despite an Emanuel Ntoi goal from the hosts that kept the game close.
OUTSIDE CUPS
It was quarter-final day in the Plumstead Challenge Cup where AC Milano were playing host to a Hatcham side at Fords Newbury Park. It was the south Londoners heading home with their spirits high however, Hatcham winning 7-1.
