CORINTHIAN CUP
Holders AC Milano are through to the final of this season’s edition, coming out 6-4 winners in a ten-goal thriller at home against Debden Sports Reserves. Nadeem Khankhara scored a hat-trick, Hassan Mohammed netted two and David Alele one in the win.
Their opponents in the final will be East London Ballers who secured a first cup final following a narrow 3-2 win against rivals Brook Athletic. Clayton Afonso, Chaka Barnett and Qusay Mohammed scored the goals that earned Ballers a place at Dagenham in May.
ENDEAVOUR CUP
It was delight for Gatcliffe who earned a first cup final in open-age football with a cupset victory against a higher-ranked Ping City Phoenixes side. The Division Seven side were narrow 2-1 winners in Barkingside to confirm a place at Dagenham & Redbridge next month.
DIVISION ONE
Colebrook Royals have moved to the cusp of the league title in Division One with a big 4-1 home win against JK Silvertown at Fairlop. Joe Cole, Omar Mahmood, Nicholas Chrysanthou and Kaci Henry goals laid the foundations for win number fourteen.
DIVISION TWO
In Division Two, East London Ballers Under 23s moved up into sixth spot with a game to go after netting four in a 4-1 away win against Daglanta with Ronaldo Naddah, Junior Milla, Mahamadou Camara and Alif Khorshed scoring, Andy Morris netting for the hosts.
The other fixture ended in a score draw at Parsloes Park where FC Galaxy met Upshire Forest in a mid-table contest. It ended in a 2-2 draw with Jay Digance and Leighton Hughes-Franklin goals accounting for the Upshire efforts.
DIVISION THREE
The race for promotion is hotting up in Division Three with Colebrook Royals Reserves taking a goalless draw first up against Leytonstone Athletic before Maxwell Graham’s hat-trick gave Royals a 3-1 win in game two, Reece Simpson scoring Athletic’s consolation.
Warren Senior travelled to fellow promotion rivals Woodford Town Reserves on Sunday. Warren bounced back well from their cup reverse to net an 8-2 victory with Anthony Cooke and Jack Glenister both scoring hat-tricks, Jamie Marsh and Scott McGlynn adding the others.
DIVISION FOUR
In Division Four, champions Manford Way saw defeat for the first time this season as they were beaten 3-2 at home against Byron Red Star in Hainault. Oliver Dosad and Callum Owen both scored for Manford.
At Chigwell Lane, cup final bound East End United warmed up for their upcoming final with a narrow win of their own, beating Debden Sports A 2-1. George Scott struck for the hosts but Jamie Edridge and Ben Little goals in reply gave United the points.
DIVISION FIVE
In Division Five, the game of the weekend saw Romford Rovers host Valance United B in a winner takes all fixture in Ongar. Ryan Knight put Valence ahead but two second half goals for Rovers saw them win 2-1 to take the league title in the process.
Over in Walthamstow, Mansfield Rangers were up against Athletic Newham where goals from Jamie Crews, Ronnie Wilson, Kieran Dickerson, Jack Field, Karl Brolly and Jack Andrews saw Newham win 6-1, despite a Claudius Edwards goal.
DIVISION SIX
Ace Athletics’ last game of the year saw them net a seventh league win, defeating London Legacy in a 4-2 scoreline. Thomas Mason struck two, Joshua Craske and Harrison Jacobs scoring the others while Arne Pettersen and Lucas Tavares scored for Legacy.
DIVISION SEVEN
The sole game in Division Seven saw Warren United move into second spot and two points off the top after a comprehensive 7-0 away success against Zone 4 Athletic, a result which leaves two points separating top from third.
