SENIOR DIVISION

It was a successful afternoon for AC Milano at Parsloes Park, battling the elements to earn all three points at Hatch Lane. Zaeem Hussain and Pharrell Mensah goals proved enough, Hatch grabbing a second half goal in consolation as Milano left 2-1 winners.

DIVISION ONE

In Division One, it was a first league defeat of the season for leaders, Repton Park, who saw their record ended by an AC Milano Reserves side winning for the first time at Old Parks, lifting them off the bottom of the table.

Down at Whitbreads, it ended all square in the game between Woodford Town and FC Galaxy, 2-2 the final scoreline as Mihai Cristea and Vlad Sirbu found the back of the net for the visitors to take a share of the spoils.

DIVISION TWO

It’s five from five for East London Ballers Reserves in Division Two, earning all three points at home against Warren Senior in a 3-1 victory through goals from Sehraan Hussain, Husnain Ahmed and Mahamadou Camara. Nathan Elgie popped up with the Warren goal in reply.

There was a cracker of a game in east London where Interwood were in the hunt for their first points of the season with the visit of Endurance Athletics. The sides produced twelve goals between them but it was Endurance edging it 7-5 by the end.

The division’s other game was another close affair but with goals at a premium, one enough to separate Colebrook Royals Reserves and Singh Sabha Barking with Daniel Bowman the man to net that for the hosts in a 1-0 success.

DIVISION THREE

There was a strong performance from Turkmenkoy at Westlands to open their wins account for the season, scoring seven without reply against Euro Stars in a 7-0 scoreline. Leon Amponsah was the difference with four goals, Hasan Goray, Suar Erdogan and Mitchell Smith with the others.

South Ilford Catholics edged a tight five-goal thriller to move to within a point of the leaders, netting themselves a narrow 3-2 win against Old Esthameians Under 23s, despite visitor goals from Nelson Goncalves and Harland Taylor.

Also still riding high in the table are Manford Way who have three wins from four themselves, helped by their latest victory, a 4-2 win over Condor Reserves with William Sandell, Billy Brown, Ollie Scott and Joe Marjason all on the scoresheet.

DIVISION FOUR

Valence United A are the new leaders in Division Four, moving a point clear on the back of their 3-0 win over the weekend away at East London Spartans. Scott Gillick struck with two of the goals, Kamal Mahoney adding the other.

That result meant May & Baker EC moved down to second spot as they were held to a high-scoring 3-3 draw in the Dagenham derby against Cardinals Athletic. Jack Ferris, Alex Paraskeva and Callum Poultney struck for Bakers with Kadeem Kazeem scoring twice and Daniel Acquaye one for Athletic.

Moving up into fourth spot, East End United picked up another win with a 7-0 win over Eastern Avenue. Mike Elsmore hat-trick led the way with Peter Brinton-Quinn, Jevonte Cassar, Sonny Davie and Loui Grech goals completing the job.

There was also success for third placed East Park Rovers who sit just a point outside the promotion places after five games following Sunday’s 2-0 home success over Colebrook Royals A, the hosts’ third win of the season so far.

The action is completed in east London where Royal Lions made the trip to face East London Ballers Under 23s, the latter ending the day the happier of the sides after Abiodun Kamalu, Jordan Burnett and Serglo Kiona goals have Ballers a 3-1 win.

DIVISION FIVE

There was a big win for Ping City Phoenixes at Wadham Lodge, moving up to fourth spot after an 11-0 home win over May & Baker EC Reserves. Ezra Waterman scored three, Phil Herman, Ryan Radley and Jack Flood two each, Dan Knight and Harrison Green completing the scoresheet.

Over at Stonards Hill, Epping Town remain as the division’s leaders and moved seven points clear at the summit after a hard fought victory against London Legacy. Jack Lewthwaite and Murilo Pereira both scored for Legacy but Joseph Bothwell, Matthew Winter and Jordan Paul won it 3-2 for Town.

That same scoreline was the outcome in the game at Hainault Rec where United Amateurs were in search of a first win but saw Athletic Newham leave with the points, Chris Ablitt, Joshua Imbert and Jack Andrews goals cancelling out Klajdi Daci’s brace in a 3-2 scoreline.

Young Royals are up into fifth place in the standings after four games of the season, their trip to Walthamstow to take on Asianos ending in a 4-2 success, overcoming home goals from both Anjum Malik and Pedro Sardinha.

DIVISION SIX

In Division Six, the gap at the top has closed to just a point as Chingford Athletic inflicted a first defeat on the leaders, beating Warren United 2-1 through goals from Billy Mason and Andre Graham, Aidan Butler with the Warren consolation.

That result enabled Legacy City to make up ground and, with games in hand, are in pole position after they record a 3-2 away success over Newroe United. Ronnie Pemble and Shane Taylor netted a goal each for an improved United side but those proved in vain in the end as Legacy took the points.

A thriller of a game at Hall Lane saw Emerson & Upminster and Newbury Kings produce a seven-goal thriller having started the day just a point apart. Kings left with the points in a 4-3 win, despite Emerson goals from Bradley Clarke, Harry Pitt and Carl Holroyd.

There was a tight affair at Douglas Eyre too as it took the odd goal to separate Lonsdale and Valence United B, Valence leaving as 2-1 winners on the day helped by goals from Jack Howard and Michael O’Brien.

The remaining game came from West Hatch and it was JK Silvertown Reserves leaving with the result under their belt in a 5-2 win away at Coppice Row. Steven Starkey scored two, Tommy Starkey, Joey May and Freddie Beard with the others for JK.

DIVISION SEVEN

Ace Athletics continued their leadership in the eighth tier following a comprehensive 9-1 home win over Rush Green Rangers in Barkingside with Thomas Alexander scoring four, Tommy Knowles, Dean Ben-Yosef, Riley Boyce, Bailey Pryce and Thomas Mason with the others. Thomas Rayner’s goal gave Rangers their consolation on the day.

It was win number three for Zone 4 Athletic on Sunday as they moved level on points with their opponents, Collier Row Under 23s, following a 5-1 success at Robert Clack. Zac Doyle and Marcos Haley netted two each, David Ariyo with the other while Frankie Mowle struck for Row in reply.

Barking Colts are up into fifth spot in the table, moving on seven points for the season following their 3-1 home success against Barkingside on Sunday. Noah Kolinsky scored for ‘Side but that proved not quite enough in the end as Colts struck three to take the win.

It ended all square in an entertaining six-goal thriller at Harris Academy as Romford Bullsharks added another point to their account in a 3-3 draw with United Amateurs Reserves. Jack Edwards, Tyler Houlston and Teddy Plume struck for Romford with Jack Gilligan’s brace and a Tylor Junior goal levelling for United.

Another tie that ended level was the game between Highams Park Rangers and Hainault Athletic at Forest Row as the Alan Goddard’s goal for Rangers was equalled by Luke Sutcliff’s strike for Hainault, the sides ending 1-1 to take home a point each.

COUNTY CUP

It was a near clean sweep of wins for Corinthian sides in the Essex Sunday Premier Cup at the weekend with Upshire Forest pulling off a cupset in netting themselves a 1-0 win at Harlow top-flight side Bocas Jogabonito, booking a trip to CFC Shalford next month.

Another closely fought encounter saw Colebrook Royals continue their run in the competition as they netted a narrow 1-0 home win over Parsloe Athletic, putting themselves in the hat for the last sixteen of the competition.

Royals will face Brook Athletic in that next round of the competition after Brook earned their place in the third round as they returned home from Harold Wood Athletic following an impressive 6-1 victory against the Brentwood League side.

There was a seven-goal thriller in the game at Chigwell School where Yeni Bogazici put themselves into the last sixteen following a 4-3 win over Division One’s JK Silvertown, setting up a home tie with Tiptree Jobserve in November.

The one casualty of the weekend was Division One side Daglanta who saw their run in the competition come to a conclusion for the season following a 3-0 away defeat against last season’s quarter-finalists, Harold Hill.

CHARITY CUP

The West Essex Cup action continued last Wednesday evening as Critics made their way into Hertfordshire to face Rouge under the lights, earning themselves a place in the quarter-finals following a 4-1 win on the night.

In the Trophy, last season’s finalists in the competition, Byron Red Star, moved into the last eight but not without a scare, needing the odd goal in five to make progress after a 3-2 victory at Division Five’s Newbury Drive.

It was a more routine outing for Alpha who booked their own place in the last eight of the Trophy, beating Mansfield Rangers in a 4-0 scoreline at Wanstead Flats to send their side through to the quarters.
